Nothing Like the Dream of the Rainbow Sun Children

I would like to enjoy more jazzy pop music like Sting's first solo records, and Prince's Rainbow Children. Any recommendations?

Basia's first album. It's still something I play often.

Also, a little different but same, Linda Eder - Something To Believe In (1997 or so I think).

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I got a few of his albums in the '80s. I was never a big fan, but these might be something like what you want.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, will likely give me some tasty new music to be exposed to. As a huge David Letterman fan, surprised to have no recollection of Basia, she is interesting for sure. Will make my way thru other mentioned artists

Perhaps Donald Fagen's "The Nightfly"? Or later Steely Dan albums like "Aja" and "Gaucho"? Very sophisticated jazzy pop played by only the best studio musicians. Highly recommended, if you are not yet familiar with Fagen's (and Becker's) work.
