Tevin Campbell - T.E.V.I.N.: 30th Anniversary Thread Now I know I'm late with with this, but this year marked the 30th anniversary of Tevin Campbell's debut album, "T.E.V.I.N.". Come post your fave memories of this album and no bashing Tevin or anything else.

I never quite connected with Tevin beyond "Round and Round." Not sure why. Just never did. But maybe I should take a listen to T.E.V.I.N. just to say I've heard it at least once. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |

Tevin(whom I had the pleasure of seeing meeting) is my FAVORITE male singer of his generation. He is SO UNDERATED as a vocalist. His album got me through a rough time in my life. "That mountain top situation is not really what it's all cracked up 2 B when  was doing the Purple Rain tour had a lot of people who knew 'll never c again @ the concerts.just screamin n places they thought they was suppose 2 scream." |

Tevin Campbell was one of many "next Michael Jacksons!" that has come and go within my life time as a music fan. But in Tevin's defense, he was & still is a very good vocialist. Also, his first 2 albums [T.E.V.I.N. & I'm Ready] were major r&b/soul hits. It also helps when Prince co-signed on you too! | |

I do not have that album. I first heard Tevin sing while listening to my "Graffiti Bridge Cassette"(Age 16). That is one of my favorite songs from "Graffiti Bridge". Also, "Graffiti Bridge" is one of my favorite movies! Starring: Prince, Morris Day, Robin Powers, Tevin Campbell, Mavis Staples, The N.P.G and the rest of the actors..... | |

That's good to hear! Prince(r.i.p.) was given Tevin first before his first album came out. I remember when I saw him @ "The Fresh Prince" taping. I followed his career closely because I was enthralled by his voice @ such a young age. He was a gifted child prodigy.
