Steely Dan😲😁🎶🎤  Holy Moly I never knew they were the ones who did the song Do It Again!!! 😲I remember hearing it on the oldies station back in the mid eighties as a kid and always liked it. So cool to have this. 😁Found thrifting in mint A condition. 😎 ✌🎶🎤✌I need to get a Blu-ray concert of theirs. Can't Buy a Thrill is the debut studio album by the American rock band Steely Dan, released in November 1972 by ABC Records. The album was written by band members Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, recorded in August 1972 at The Village Recorder in Los Angeles, and produced by Gary Katz. Its music features tight song structure and sounds from soft rock, folk rock, and pop, alongside philosophical, elliptically written lyrics. The title of the album is a reference to the opening line of the Bob Dylan song "It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry".[12] The album cover features a photomontage by Robert Lockart. For new vinyl just got Gov't Mule's "Heavy Load Blues" which sounds terrific--a mix of old classic blues (with some of the original singers spotlighted on songs) and some new blues songs by the band. Can't go wrong with the Mule.
For other recent vinyl... Today I heard the guy down the block blasting "Lady Cab Driver" on vinyl out of his garage so, of course, I had to go home and play my recent copy of Prince's "1999" album on 180 gram vinyl. Sounds sooooooooo good! I only ever had this album on cassette tape or CD. The vinyl blows those away...

Well. I'm not going to take photos of them but I did listen to a bunch of old cassettes in the car yesterday. I have about 20 right now. One day I will edit them onto a big tiny little cassette reel to reel and then I will have extra cassettes. When is somebody going to make a computer tower that can produce and play all of the mediums? Are reel to reel tapes as large as 12 inch vinyls? I wish I had taken shop class in school. I pulled out some old CD singles I haven't played in years. A few of them are 3" CDs that can't be played in the slot players that are in cars.

 Worlds Away is the fourth and most successful album by the California soft rock group Pablo Cruise. The album charted higher than any other of the band's albums, reaching #6 in the United States. Three singles were released from the album: "Love Will Find a Way", "Don't Want to Live Without It" and "I Go to Rio", reaching #6, #21, and #46 respectively. The title track, "Worlds Away" was not released as a single, but remains a favorite among many fans of the band today.  Didn't think I'd know any of the songs. Love Will Find a Way is a song I know. I've seen members post of their albums on different threads. I've got a couple of vinyls of theirs I bought thrifting awhile ago, but haven't gotten a chance to listen. This one I got recently. Got a Jimi Hendrix LP called Experience Hendrix: The Best of Jimi Hendrix. It's been around for a long time but I bought the new one on sale--weird thing is so far, Jimi's voice drops out on the stereo speakers but sounds amazing on heahphones... WTF? I'll try it again...

The Monkees is the debut studio album by the band the Monkees. It was released in October 1966 by Colgems Records in the United States and RCA Victor in the rest of the world. It was the first of four consecutive U.S. number one albums for the group, taking the top spot on the Billboard 200 for 13 weeks, after which it was displaced by the band's second album. It also topped the UK charts in 1967. The Monkees has been certified quintuple platinum by the RIAA, with sales of over five million copies. Eight of the original LP's twelve tracks feature one lone Monkee singing lead vocal over instrumentation and backing vocals recorded entirely by a group of session musicians which varies from song to song. Other tracks feature multiple Monkees singing over session players; only on the two tracks produced by Michael Nesmith does a Monkee (Peter Tork) get to play an instrument (guitar). (Nesmith wrote or co-wrote these two tracks.) No tracks on the original LP feature participation from all four Monkees. ✌️🎸 🎤 Found this LP tonight to my surprise as well. Not in the greatest shape, but plays decent B- after a clean. My second find of a Monkees record. Found their secord album a couple of weeks ago that I posted. This is a Mono pressing.
