Bad choices? That's an understatement. He became a drug addict and died when he fell out of a window in a hotel in Amsterdam. You can still find the spot, it's very close to the Central Station. If you take any of this seriously, you're a bigger fool than I am.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit whoβs never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Elvis Presley!πΈπΆπ€ Elvis: A Legendary Performer Volume 3 is a compilation album featuring recordings by American singer Elvis Presley. It was the third in a series of albums that began with Elvis: A Legendary Performer Volume 1 in 1974, the first to be released since Presley's death in 1977, and the last edition until Elvis: A Legendary Performer Volume 4 in 1983. Following the format of the series, the album was a mixture of previously released recordings and tracks that, as of the date of this album's release, had never been issued on an official RCA album release. It was certified Gold in December, 1978 by the RIAA. Ebay bought of an Elvis Lot. Had this before on Vinyl. Great sounding and in A+ condition. π Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!

Got four Diana Ross ninyl albums for $10 and just now had the time to spin them... One of my faves "The Boss" sounds terrific. Ony two pops and a click on side one; side two--nothing! This is one of my favorite Diana Ross solo albums; hoping the other three sound just as good! Wow, the second album sounds even better than the first! These were graded Good Plus--I would grade them as excellent. Ole Skool Diana Ross sounds friggin' great on vinyl: "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Got this Rolling Stones' vinyl box set I've been wanting for a while with an Amazon gift card and it doesn't disappoint. Great setlist and rare songs done with the likes of Eric Clapton, John Lee Hooker (whom I had the privilege to see at a free street concert in the '80s), and Axl Rose. The Stones in their prime. The only miss for me is "Miss You"--Jagger lacks the grit and soul on this one from "Some Girls Live in Texas" or even the live concert I saw in 2019. The 4th vinyl record has this blazing trifecta of 2000 Light Years From Home, Sympathy For The Devil, and Gimme Shelter. Worth it just alone for that! My first Stones' concert was in 1997 and I remember sitting and redialing the landline phone over and over again trying to get tickets for myself and my partner, thinking it might be one of the last chances to see them...because they were getting old. Who knew they would last so long?!!

I'm a big fan of Chet Baker. He was an amazing trumpet player, but what a life he led. It's not surprising that he died the way he did. It's tragic, but not the least surprising. Have you seen Let's Get Lost or Born to be Blue? The former is a documentary, the latter a movie with Ethan Hawke? I recommend both as they give terrific insight into his life. Yes, the doc was very personal and really showed what a difficult life Chet had. I thought Ethan did a terrific job playing Chet in the movie. Drug addiction is a bitch.
