I think their work on Music is good and it only gets better on American Life. I still can't believe how American Life was instantly slammed because Madonna was "unpatriotic." |

For me, American Life isn't slammed because of patriotism (which I believe is brainwashing of the masses). It's slammed because the album sucks monkey balls. "Nobody Knows Me" is the only gem, for me, on American Life.
Music was 50% good, 50% crap. Having said that, her stuff with him on that album is the good parts. "Impressive Instant" is the best song on the album, hands down. "Music" is fun, but overplayed. "Nobody's Perfect" is haunting and a really good song. "I Deserve It" is a horrible song.
While I like her Ørbit work on Ray of Light, his contributions on Music are forgettable.
American Life is one of my bottom 3 Madge albums. The others being Hard Candy and Rebel Heart.

"God Control"
"Paradise (Not For Me)"
"Impressive Instant"
"Die Another Day"
"Killers Who Are Partying"
"Future Lovers"
"Nobody Knows Me"
"I Don't Search,I Find"
"Music"

if Madonna did an album where half of the songs were produced by Mirwais and half of the tracks were produced by Pharrell,it would probably become a favorite of mine |

.
That is odd, because I'm convince even today that Music is a few steps better than Ray Of Life. To my ears, Music is little more "stripped down" by electronic music standards. |

Never heard of Ray of Life.
But seriously, I actually feel that way about American Life. It's sparse and uninteresting. It sounds like it was made on a Commodore 64.
