Jackson 5ive Cartoon 50th Anniversary Thread On this day in history in 1971, ABC and Rankin-Bass, in association with Motown Productions released the Jackson 5ive cartoon. It was the 2nd cartoon in history to feature an all-Black cast, each episode contained 2 songs from the Jackson 5. Happy 50th to this incredible cartoon

I remember watching this as a kid, too, along with the Osmond Brothers cartoon. Yikes! 
It costs a lot of money now, because it didn't stay in print that long You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. I have the Blu-Ray set. Never have watched it, although they played reruns of the show well into the late-90’s, and maybe beyond. | |
