It's very cheesy but at least memorable. I must have skipped most of the other down tempo songs on the album most times as I don't even remember the titles. |

Dangerous is one of my favorite MJ albums if not my favorite. I've always loved it the way it is even with the cheesy and skippable HTW, but I would have certainly swapped it out with something else like maybe Satisfy You or Joy. However, imho, there isn't very much you can cut out to make room for some of the other trax that didn't make it without sacrificing some good cuts. Maybe somebody wishes Michael had included Serious Effect instead of maybe She Drives Me Wild, but She Drives Me Wild is a jam IMHO. Then if he had actually gone with that choice and years later SDMW had popped up on the Internet as a leak then some people might have been like what was he thinking. As much as I love Dangerous, I think it was a wasted opportunity to release a great double album. Some might argue that it would have diluted the potency of the album it ended up being, but I don't know. | |

You re right about She Drives Me Wild being almost a fan favourite if it never released amd popped up on the internet as a leak. Of course people dissing it now would tell about how the track is better than what has replaced it. People dissing Heartbreaker, Invincible or Threatened, and liking pieces of crap such as Blue Gangsta, Chicago makes no sense at all. If Blue Gangsta had replaced Heartbreaker, and the latter popped up on the internet ten years after, fans would have said it was great. By the way MJs adults albums are perfect the way as they are presented, except of course Invincible. I would have Loved a 10 tracks BOTDF though. Dangerous is already a kind of double album. By its lenght, it stands on two vinyls. And you can see 2 different albums : the 7 tracks produced with Riley, and the 7 organic tracks produced by Bill Bottrel and MJ. |

I wouldn't remove songs, but would shorten some songs.
intros of B&W, HTW and WYBT...they are all way too long.

Who Is It had already been cut short(!). MJs engineers often told him his songs lasted too long towards the end, but MJ liked it when it was long, and was always upset to cut his songs in order to stand in one CD. [Edited 5/25/21 4:08am] |
