Love the new album, my favorite tracks are "Live in the Dream" and "The Melting of the Sun". I really think she's a unique songwriter who studied every era of music and knows the greats (from Bowie to David Byrne, Prince...) and that shows in her music. With that being said, her self-titled St. Vincent album is just immaculate. Holy shit. I've never heard music so intricate and personal like that in my life.

Love Love the production. It's so interesting, I discover some new detail on every new listen.

I've enjoyed all her work up to now, some albums more than others, but have little interest in this new album; if I want to listen to the 70s i'll put on the 70s. Not saying there's been a drop in quality or anything, it's just wholly unoriginal and gimmicky. I might come back to it in a few years and appreciate it more but i'm not bothered with this album cycle. [Edited 6/14/21 3:49am]
