Your favourite lesser known/underrated male vocalists?

My playlist has been in a bit of a rut lately and I realise I am kind of lacking in male voices which really take you somewhere and make you feel something. Who are those guys in your libraries you feel ought to get more attention than they do? I have some to spare, all eras and genres most welcome!

Jonah Nilson/Dirty Loops.. Love his voice

https://youtu.be/rV9uCmlMQ1c stick out the first minute or 30 secs as the song is not as it first sounds, wait for the chorus to hit

To me, he has a gorgeous voice. Bit of stevie and toto and mj in there

Another song that showcases his voice is crash and burn delight which is understated until the last minute

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Not my lesser known artist--but I have to mention my late great friend Angel--who told me she was a closet Fanilow and I took her to see Barry and she was shocked to see so many people of color at the concert... This one is for you, Angel...

Actually, I was being serious. Caught "Put Your Mouth On Me" on satellite radio a few weeks ago and watched Dreamgirls on cable this weekend so, for purposes of the OP, I consider him an "underrated male vocalist".

not really underrated, but Tevin Campbell could have been one of the greatest singers in history if he could have sustained his success into his adult years... "Can We Talk" is one of the greatest vocal performances ever...Tevin Campbell sounds like a young, male version of Whitney Houston on that joint... but unfortunately, personal issues and drug problems derailed his promising career... but he was the greatest teenage singer i ever heard outside of Michael Jackson as a teen

True, Not that well known. My son says until the Unsung Switch episode he always thought those Switch songs was El Debarge.

I was listening to Switch, Switch II and Debarge first album. Bobby's vocals on Switch II are absolutely flawless. I've always felt Bobby should have saved the tracks from the Debarge first album for his solo album.
