U2 - four free live concerts on their YouTube channel

Hi,

I just saw that U2 are releasing four live shows (which had previously been released on DVD, but with remastered sound and some extras) on their U2 channel. They are available at different dates, for 48 hours only.

Pretty cool me thinks biggrin

Also, looking at the first concert in the series (Slane Castle, 2001), what immediate becomes apparent: a) they are great live performers

b) everybody in the audience is going nuts, jumping around, and nobody has a mobile phone in their hand...

Worth checking out:

Whatever.

Would be more interesting if they'd put unreleased stuff online. I have all those shows already.

Queen did a similar thing but more from their vaults, also Pearl Jam and the Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, its mostly bands that will not be able to do any kind of shows this year for the most part, its pretty obvious with a covid outbreak in europe now, all tours that I have heard that had any european dates even for later this year have all been moved till 2022 and some 2023. In the states shows are happening not so much at big venues, smaller ones already are doing them especially small club sit down table seating places because they can easily space things and they need any form of revenue at this point. General Admission places I have no clue that will happen again, Im not a fan of those shows anymore anyway but its doubtful those will return anytime soon, unless its outdoors and spaced.
