Thanks Margot and gang for posting felt alone for a bit.π This just made my whole day better. Goodwill find. Canadian singer France Joli - Come To Me. Prelude Record. 1979. She had 10 time the vocal talent of Swift/Madonna and beauty, but I guess management didn't do enough to get her to a bigger level. I was a kid in the NYC 80s and always thought she should have been bigger and given better material. I had all her vinyl and now trying to get them all back. Come To Me is her first hit along with a couple of other hits. Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!

C+ Gave it a good clean and sounded much better. Hopefully aI can get the CD version used or a cleaner LP. Really solid recording. New Orleans type jazzy stuff. Love it! The famous song on here is The Entertainer. Saw the movie once as a kid in the 80s. Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!

Carmen McRae(with Mat Matthews Quintet) - By special request. Decca Records. Recent Thrift find. I found about her in 2018 after hearing her sing Fly me to the moon(seek it out on YouTube) and been a fan of her music ever since. I have a couple of her CDs and now own her on vinyl! ππΆ C+ condition. Scratched, but music still shines through. Carmen also played piano. Amazing artist who should be more well known as Ella, Sarah, etc. we're. Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!

JoeBala, out of curiosity, what do you use to clean your thriftstore finds? I've just got back into vinyl (because of Covid lol) after not owning any since the '80s. I don't recall using anything other than a good cleaning cloth back then. LOL There seems to be A LOT of controversy online on the best ways to clean used records! PT I use soap and water and dry with a wash cloth. I use a duster off of ebay as well. Might not be the greatest method, but it works for me. Not buying any machine. ππ I've been lucky that most used records just need the duster. O(+> O(+> Judy Garland - Judy. Capital records. Released Oct 10, 1956. Lucky Thrift find. Info below is from a website called the Judy room: Judy's second album for Capitol was again released in conjunction with a TV special. This time, it was Judy's second TV Special shown live on April 8, 1956 on CBS-TV's "The General Electric Teather". The show ran for 30 minutes and all the songs Judy sang on this special are prepresented on this album. "Judy" peaked at #17 on Billboard's Best Selling Pop Albums chart and was in Top 40 for five weeks. The 1989 premiere CD release contains a bonus track of "I'm Old Fashioned" recorded on 03-26-1956 was not included in the original album release until the 1989 Captiol CD release. Arranged and conducted by Nelson Riddle. B+ condition. No scratches at all. Minty. Sounds great and Come rain or come shine sounds different than the Sinatra version. I like it. Her voice is fantastic on this. imageupload Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!

Mellisa Manchester - Home to myself. Bell Records and released in 1973. All Song written by Mellisa Manchester and Carole Bayer Sayer. π― One of four LPS I found at the thrift store! B+ condition maybe it will grow on me, but it's just OK. I think the back cover is better than the front. Don't know much about her. She had a big hit "Don't cry out loud" in the 80s and then disappeared. Always liked her voice. She has a great range and she was cute as heck. π gif hosting The first lady of Jazz... Ella Fitzgerald - Lullabies of Birdland. Featuring The Ray Charles singers and Ray Brown! Decca Records. Ella wrote two songs on this LP. Released in 1955. The album features tracks recorded during the late 1940s and early 1950s, that had been previously issued on 78rpm single. Anything Ella I think is great. B+ condition. Top notch recordings with the title track being a classic. Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!

Thanks S2DG for posting. Anne Murray & Glen Campbell. Capital records. Released in Nov 1971. Shocked at this one I never knew about this album till I saw it at my Thrift store. Their voices blend together divinely. Terrific arrangements by Rick Wilton/Marty Piach. Their first and last album together. Murray was featured many times on Glen's TV show. It charted in Canada and reached top 12. No romance between them. Peggy Lee - Sugar 'N' Spice. Recorded at Capital records in Los Angeles, Ca. Released in 1962. Featuring songs written by Ray Charles and Ma Rainy. Thrifty lucky find. Top musicallity and vocals by Peggy. Conducted by Benny Carter. Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!
