Great songs almost ruined by Horrible middle 8 sections/Bridges

SO, in a perfect world, the bridge of a song is thematically a bit different from the main body of the song, and enhances it. In a not-so-perfect world, the bridge totally fucks the songs and makes it almost unlistenable (for me, anyway). In my opinion, the most most blatant offenders are:

Peter Gabriel & KAte Bush - DOnt GIve Up. This song is BEAUTIFUL. Im completely lost in it. Then the song hits the 2;51 mark and turns into a schlocky, quasi-gospel mess until it resolves. I rarely make it to the end. Why??? dead

THe Beatles- A DAy in the Life: Brilliant, moody, atmospheric, a little dark...All the shit that I love. And then we hit the 2:21 mark and its a happy, hokey, ill-matched mess. again..WHY??

alphastreet	Eurythmics must be talking to an angel. The bridge got so random with the gospel sounds, but Stevie wonders harmonica saved it and then the song was fine again [Edited 1/30/21 10:08am]

Margot	"When I Lay My Hands on You". Such an erotic song broken up by: "Snap snap Unto these nylon hose Around your thigh my finger goes slowly Like a cat tip-toes Until I reach the cap nose I will touch thee in the softest manner Like Europa in the hands of Santana" I don't mind the words, but the bridge is a weird interruption of the mood.
