"Ventriliquism" by Meshell Ndegeocello has been my go-to vinyl the last couple of weeks. All of a sudden I haven't been able to get tired of it.

Zoinks. ๐คฃ๐ถ๐ I'll pick it up eventually. ==== Allman Bros Band - Dreams. Mercury Records. Dreams is a 1989 four-disc box set issued by the Allman Brothers Band. Recorded 1966-1988. Dreams is a compilation of material taken from not only the Allman Brothers Band, but also from throughout musical careers of the Allmans and the band's other members prior to and following its formation. I luckily found disc 2 & 3 at my Thrift store. Hopefully I can find the other two later on. Of course great vocals and bluesy instrumentation. Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!

Judy London - Julie is her name Vol. 1(Her first album released on 12/1955) & Vol. 2(8/1958). Liberty/EMI/Capitol/Columbia Records. Released on CD(25 songs) in 1992. I knew her name, but never heard her music and don't know much about her. I guess you would call her the Diana Krall('S wonderful is done here by London in a faster tempo quite nicely) of her time after listening to her. Her biggest hit Cry me a river is included here. Beautifully mastered and arranged. London and her mom were fans of Billie Holiday. Lucky Thrift find this week. Hopeful to find more of her catalog in Vinyl or CD. Highly recommend if you like Krall who I imagine was a London fan. Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!

A 1958 concert film I bought that was recently restored You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit whoโs never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Morning music friends. โ Horizen - Eddie Rabbit. Recorded in Colorado. Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised later in New Jersey. Wiki: Horizon is the sixth studio album of country artist Eddie Rabbitt. It was released in 1980 under the Elektra Records label. The album produced two singles, both of which reached number one on country charts. The lead-off single "Drivin' My Life Away" reached number 5 on the Billboard 100 and 9 the Adult Contemporary chart. The other single, "I Love a Rainy Night" reached number one on all three charts, the only single in Rabbitt's career to ever do so. His career began as a songwriter in the late 1960s, springboarding to a recording career after composing hits such as "Kentucky Rain" for Elvis Presley in 1970 and "Pure Love" for Ronnie Milsap in 1974. One of my favorite pop country artist from the 80s. Talented as heck. I had some of his albums/CDs. This was a great cool Thrift find. Rest. Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!
