You speak the truth about rising above things that happened to you in your past, because re-living them and holding on to them, just doesn't do any good whatsoever. There comes a time in your life when you just have to let the past go, and move on, or else you will just live a miserable life. And that goes for all of us, because we all have things in our past that has messed with us mentally and emotionally, but you just have to make up your mind not to let it destroy you, and keep you from living a productive life.

Yeah. He also didn't say that he wanted to die young. He said that aging is a horrible thing. And he's right. The bodily decay is not pretty.

I used to think that, but it's just as damaging emotionally, threatening his family (brothers). It's not like Mike didn't hear him say that and the brothers were beaten without his knowledge.

Trauma is pretty difficult to rise out of when that abuse was normalized. I would point to Michael as a father as his redemption but then the Blanket dangling incident is one of the only things the public saw.
