Holiday had a couple of dance performances as videos, plus later on a blonde ambition tour version of it

I’d also add What it Feels Like for a Girl, but not the remixed version we got in the video. With a completely different concept and the original version, it could’ve been something special.

  • "Dress You Up" (not live although I was obsessed with that one)
  • "Holiday" (I can't figure out why that was totally overlooked as a video, but fucking "Burning Up" has one)
  • "Angel" (great pop song)
  • "Santa Baby" (c'mon!)
  • "Spotlight" (it could've served as a great transitional video between TB and LAP)
  • "Hanky Panky" (not live)
  • "Rescue Me" (!)
  • "Keep It Together" (could've been a sequel, of sorts, to "Papa Don't Preach" with a grown Madonna and facing similar issues she did w/ Danny Aiello)
  • "Bye Bye Baby" (I mean, come on!)
  • "Why's It So Hard" (it seems to be very much in her wheelhouse in messaging)
  • "I'd Rather Be Your Lover" (what a great chance for a collab with Me'Shell, or even Tupac in the earlier version)
  • "Don't Stop" (just a fun pop disco song)
  • "Sky Fits Heaven" (just seems like it could've been very interesting)
  • "Impressive Instant" (this song should've been a bigger single and a hot ass video)
  • "I Love New York" (again, totally in her wheelhouse; I'd have shot it like Beyonce did "XO" where she's in public, with the song in her ears, but on the outside, she's just interacting with fans as they come up to her, them unknowing of what/why is being filmed; video starts with her leaving in the a.m. to get coffee, follows her throughout the day, and ends with her going home in the evening and ploping down on the couch)

I also agree with a remix version of "What It Feels Like For A Girl," maybe even mixing in some of the Spanish lyrics to switch it up even more. She's always delved into that Spanish aesthetic and it could've been very cool with grown up Madge.

I also wish the full Virgin Tour would be released. There is a VHS cam audience recording on the webs, from the left side of the stage. The songs omitted (for whatever reason) are all in there.

Sidenote: I didn't know she sang background vocals on "Promises Promises" by Naked Eyes (on the 7" and 12" mixes)

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

This should have been a single

It was a single in 1991 yet seems to have been forgotten over time but has become a firm fan-favourite over the years, probably down to the fact it's a great song that never had a video and, up until the Madame X Tour, had never been performed live, although that wasn't really a live performance, it was just a pre-recorded version of her reciting the lyrics over breathy sounds.

Although not one of my favourite songs, I think Gang Bang could have been a good video, the MDNA Tour performance was very cinematic.

I Don't Search, I Find is another one, could have been a Vogue 2.0...

Imagine a video for Rescue Me with the way she looked in early 1991 (the way she looked at the Oscars that year.)

I wonder pretender or stay would have had a good video too, early 80s madonna and 00s Madonna are my faves, though I also like her 90s work

I also think don’t stop would have been a strong single. I remember my cousin and her friend danced to it at a school talent show, in shorts, plaid shirts and sunglasses. It definitely recaptured her early 80s sound

Love Spent.

Should have been the lead single, central song, build the whole rest of the album around it. I'll die on this hill.

Angel from Like a Virgin (1984), even though the "offical" video was a compilation of some of her other videos https://www.youtube.com/w...7W3oVF4O1Q

I totally agree! A shame only 2 videos were made from the LAV album.

I hate that compilation shit. Prince did that a few times, too. It's cheap and uninspired. I can't be bothered with it.

And as far as only 2 videos, it reminds me very much that there were only 3 videos from Thriller. Later, "Billie Jean" from The Victory Tour was released, which was fire at the time. But officially there was only "Billie Jean," "Beat It," and "Thriller." Nothing for "Human Nature," "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'," "The Girl Is Mine" (despite there being one for "Say Say Say;" they could've been a sequel to each other), "Pretty Young Thing (P.Y.T.)." NO VIDEOS.

But yeah, "Angel" should've had a video.

Also, just as a note: Madonna also wrote a song called "Warning Signs" for Vision Quest, but it didn't make it to any album or has seen a release. If there was ever a time to put together some outtakes, etc., I hope that one is on it.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Holy Water...but thankfully there is a really good fan made video

Agree with "WIFLFAG" as well...and thankfully there is a fan made that switches the remix out for the original.

Agree about Impressive Instant as well. What a hot tune. The radio wasn't even ready...but we have a video for Hollywood...lame

I don’t really have a preference for any era, but she was super gorgeous throughout much of the 80s
