"Krush Groove" - Movie Appreciation(1985). I was nine years old when the movie came out. Great cast: LL Cool J, Jam Master Jay, Sheila E, Bobby Brown, Kurtis Blow, Russell Simmons, Blair Underwood and more. Michael Schultz, Director.
How old were you when this movie came out? [Edited 10/11/20 13:28pm]

It´s Krush Groove and Kurtis Blow, not Crush Groove , Curtis Blow. It was a cult movie back in the day because movies with rappers were quite rare back then but in hindsight I find it a bit silly, especially the scene where Sheila starts rapping. But I also miss that era a bit, the clothes, the jumpsuits, the music....good times. As far as favorite scenes go, I don´t really have a favorite scene from this one, I was more into all those other HipHop movies such as WildStyle, Beatstreet and Breakin. By the way, I once had a little argument with Kurtis Blow after a show because he was on stage with Grandmaster Flash and lipsynching to Melle Mel´s records. But people didn´t even notice. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Thanks KE! I will edit some words. That last time I saw the movie, I was 10 or 11. My friend's cousin had the VHS. I am a music fanatic so all movies that focuses on music is my favorite, comedy is my second favorite. I will get the DVD to add to my movie collection. [Edited 10/11/20 13:24pm]

Great movie. The highlight might be the Fat Boys at Sbarro performing All You Can Eat.

I can't use the link because I have a pre-paid phone from TracFone. When I buy a android phone, I will have more data for internet access to be able to look at videos, YouTube, etc. When I watched the movie back in the day, I was happy to see all the Hip Hop artists/musicians together! ⭐💿🎸🎤💿⭐🛀

😃 I have the "I Can't Live Without My Radio" album on cassette! I told my sister to order the "Crush Groove" DVD for me. Lol, one of my co-workers, Nasima always says "No Problem". I have to call her this week. She is an air sign, I have a lot of air sign friends. ⭐💿🎸 I am a fan of Capricorn LL Cool J Too. He has Taurus Rising. Shout out to Queens!

There are some cheesy, really corny ones such as Breakin and Breakin part 2 (Electric Boogaloo) that have some nice live scenes with Ice-T at the LA Radiotroon, and Rappin (with Mario Van Peebles....terrible movie but nice scene with Ice-T performing Killers), and of course BeatStreet and Wildstyle. Another good film is Breaking and Entering, which showcases the early L.A HipHop scene. It is more of a documentary than a movie and can be regarded as a predecessor to the Breakin movie.....basically the same people, but in a documentary (Ice-T, Boogaaloo Shrimp etc. ). " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Of course Beastie Boys "Slow And Low" (1986) was ghostwritten by Run-D.M.C. and contained a similar passage. On The Gong Show we won't get gonged

I am still waiting for the "Krush Groove" Movie DVD that my sister ordered for me! When I watch the movie again, then I will give my review! From what I remember, me and my friends from Prospect Ave, loved watching that movie. And LL Cool J is one of my favorite Legendary Hip Hop Artists! "Word is Bond". "Hip..Hop.. Hip..Hop.. Hip..Hop" -(Cancerian)Lil Kim, Brooklyn. "Put Your Lighters Up". 😃⭐✨⚡🎉💿🎸💿⭐✨⭐✨⚡
