this is 1 of my favorite 70s slow jams. LOVE the harmony in the chorus.. a nice song to do as karaoke.. but RARELY found in such spaces

My mother had bought the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack,but she would only listen to Side One (which contains the Bee Gees songs).A few months later,she hears "Emotion" on the radio,loves it and says "is this song anywhere on the soundtrack?!"

It's a great song.Samantha has a nice,sultry voice but honestly......the Bee Gees totally take over,lol.You hear them much more than you hear her.

Soul...You and I must have grown up in the same household. ..I remember my mom buying the "SNF" soundtrack, and I was looking for that song too. That was a big hit on R&B and pop radio back then.

I only found out now that hers is the original. I hear this song with Deniece Williams in my head, she would've ate this song up during that time.

funny you mentioned Deniece Williams.Later in 1978,my mother had the 45 single of "Too Much,Too Little,Too Late",Deniece's hit duet with Johnny Mathis.Guess what song was on the B side? Their remake of "Emotion"
