Michael Jackson Bad Tour Film/HD Campaign 2020 We need to see the 4K master sourced from film reels. Several Wembley shows were recorded on film, including multitrack audio recorded in a sound truck which Michael approved. It’s a shame that it’s ready for release (a full montage was graded and completed). It’s sitting there to gain dust instead of this masterpiece being released to the world.
I hope you can chime in and support this campaign! Could you all please help us to support this petition by sharing this in your Twitter or other social media feed? For twitter you can use #MJBadTourHD https://www.youtube.com/w...ws2Vj_Uqxc [Edited 7/22/20 10:05am]

Didn’t know more shows were available but I personally think the Jackson’s victory tour should be released. It’s criminal that it hasn’t been released

I agree, the Victory Tour was also shot on film, edited and color graded. There even was a Laserdisc ready for release but shelved eventually. It’s seems to be complicated to release the Victory Tour because of several copyright issues with the brothers and the Michael Jackson estate unfortunately. But, 2 shows of the Bad Tour in Wembley and the Liverpool gig were completely filmed. It’s about time they finally release this glorious footage (link in the first post). I hope we can get the support of Prince fans too. 😁

Great but I'd rather watch Destiny Tour or Triumph Tour.

Just watched some performances here and there, specially the little snippets of the Triumph Tour on The One dvd.

Yeah, the estate is sitting on gold. Don’t know what they are waiting for. I hope that the campaign will be successful.

Wasn't the first leg of the Bad tour (Japan etc.) the last time around he did the shows 100% live, whereas later on they had the dance-heavy numbers lip-synced?
No "Smooth Criminal" etc. after Japan?

No "Smooth Criminal" etc. after Japan? Yes, the bad era tracks were lip synced in the later shows from what I remember reading about it [Edited 7/23/20 15:38pm]

Only the songs of the Bad album were partially lip synced and partially live. The rest of the songs were live indeed. The 1st leg of the tour was indeed fully live.

The 7/16/88 Wembley show was released on the Bad 25 anniversary compilation. As live concert recordings go, this one isn't too bad and has some good Thriller and Bad tunes.

True, but it was sourced from a VHS. Horrible quality. Wembley was shot fully on film, a mixture of 35mm and 16mm. Enough to create a 4K Blu-ray. Also this concert was multitracked, so they can create a Dolby Atmos mix of it too. Would be so awesome. INXS recently released a show of 1990 sourced from film in 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos. It is stunning.
