She so extra. I don't remember this song. It's apparently a bonus track on the CD edition of her first album. Discogs says it's on the cassette too. But I don't recall it being on the cassette I bought back in the '80s.

I wish someone would post a full Vesta show from the 80s. Never got the opportunity to see her but I hear she was an incredible live performer.

"I'm Coming Back" was on both the cassette and CD as a bonus track. I originally had the LP and then got a hold of the cassette some years later after I found out about the bonus track. For many years, the CD was very difficult to find. Back in the day when record stores were still a thing, I was constantly trying to order it but it was always listed as back order or out of print, and I'm talking late 80's to early 90s. So that kind of told me how A&M felt about her that they would delete her debut CD only after a couple of years. I finally found the CD when I got on the net in the mid 90s and discovered Ebay! biggrin

Lalah Hathaway also covered "I'm Coming Back" on her debut album. Very nice, totally different feel. I love both but I prefer Vesta's version. music

That's really unfortunate that they did her that way. confused

I wonder if there's any unreleased material.

Like most other artists, I am sure there are songs in the can that didnt make it onto her A&M albums. I do know there is an entire unreleased album that she recorded at MCA in 1995 that was shelved. Sadly, I dont think we will ever hear any of her unreleased material

This was nice. I miss her. She was a true singer and very funny. I watched other clips of her

on Video Soul and Arsenio. She was the first big sized woman I found myself attracted to.

She was beautiful even after she dropped the weight but when she had the weight she just had

a certain swag about her.

Welp, hopefully more of these rare vidoes pop up - I think it really captures the kind of performer she was.

I remember Vesta(whom I ran into at Disneyland) she wasn't hard to spot with a red T shirt on with Vesta written across it. It was right during the time she had her first cross over hit "Congratulations". Me and a friend walked up to her and asked her was she Vesta? She had this look on her face like what U think? We then asked for a picture. She said "can I eat my hot dog first?"

She must have gobbled down a dozen hotdogs then waved us back over.

She is so missed and a natural triple threat talent. She was one of a kind It was NO ONE else like her.

R.I.P. Vesta & thank U.......
