I'm old so only now just getting hip to Khruangbin and Vulfpeck But so nice to find some new-ish music to listen to.

Thank you for mentioning some new band names around here, for real, emesem!  Khruangbin has caught my ear for a second and I want to listen to their ep project "Texas Sun" that they've done with Leon Bridges on vocals. Have you heard that one yet? | |

Love that Back Pocket video. Thats the one that sold me on them. Apparently the song was used in a Apple commerical
BTW: there is a Prince connection. Cory Wong (guitar) is from Minneapolis and I think Micheal Bland and Sonny T have jammed with them.

Khruangbin is mesmerizing with Mark Speer who takes us to uncharted territory on guitar. I could watch Laura Lee play forever.

. The Prince connection runs a bit deeper. At one point, at a jam session where Cory, Michael and Prince all were, Cory playes a solo, which impressed Prince so much, he gave a (I believe) 10 dollar bill to Cory, as a whimsical sign of appreciation. Paisley Park is in your heart - Love Is Here! |
