Some of her best tracks definitely came out of erotica and bedtime stories

There's a mix of "Secret" - I think it's Junior's Luscious Mix or something - that is so good.

A couple of the "Deeper and Deeper" mixes are good, too. I also love that she resings a "Vogue" line, "you got to just let your body go with the flow."

It's interesting that she uses remixes in concert a lot. I think it's the B-Boy remix or similar of "Erotica" that she used on The Girlie Show, as well as a mix of "Deeper and Deeper," the remix of "Fever," "The Beast Within" of "Justify My Love" as its own song (and versions of it in subsequent shows). She used remixes of "Like A Prayer," "Express Yourself" and others for Blond Ambition World Tour.

There's a moment in "Justify My Love" where she says, "we can fly..." very breathy. It always reminds me of Prince's "Positivity," where he says, "we can fly right by Spooky and all that he crawls for..." There's something about her phrasing that makes me think of Prince's song.

"eye don’t really care so much what people say about me because it is a reflection of who they r."

It's definitely one of her more artistic and dark videos. Others that are visually compelling are:

Nothing Really Matters

Vogue

Erotica

Justify My Love *

Bedtime Story

What It Feels Like For A Girl

Dark Ballet

God Control (which feels like an extension of "Deeper and Deeper"'s storyline)

Express Yourself

Like A Prayer

* I recently wrote an article about the affect "Justify My Love" had on LGBTQ expression, gender fluidity, and sexual identity, which made it decades ahead of its time.

The PoweR Of Good Bye and Batuka should be here, I think God Control could have been much better without the audio special effects, I don't like them, sounds tacky.

Though I love god control, I like the intro part of it with the piano and voices best. The rest of the song had to grow on me but I love it now

I have to add mine because she is my favourite female artist.

Erotica

Madame X

American Life

Like a Prayer

Bedtime Stories

and I do spin the "I'm Breathless" Album heaps too.

American Life I feel is more relevant today and I think it is a wonderful album.

I think as you grow and change you get to like albums - that is what happened with me.

Also as I have acquired all the original pressings on Vinyl now I have come to appreciate them even more as they sound so much better than CD versions.

Bedtime Stories used to be one of my lesser loved albums and now it is in my Top 5.

Madame X is a superb album - so interesting and diverse, I was obsessed with that one on the first play.

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

Haven't played this album in awhile,I need to give it a spin smile It brings back so many memories of 1990.A few days before this album was released,I saw Madonna on the Blonde Ambition Tour."Vogue" was the Number One song in America. That was such a fun, hectic time.Madonna had so many things going on.

Wow you’re lucky you saw her on blonde ambition! I remember going to a cultural variety show that year and both vogue and cherish were songs people danced to. But it’s funny I knew of Madonna already but not Janet yet, so to me it seems like Madonna was more popular, at least in Canada

"Erotica" is her all-time masterpiece. Check out some of the Erotica-era tracks that didnt' even make the album like "It's a Shame" and "Goodbye to Innocence." They are on YouTube. When Madonna was ascending in the 1980s, could anyone have predicted in a few short years she'd be making songs like "Secret Garden"?

It's my second favorite Madonna album. There's alot of fun dance music here, but also alot of dark, deep,(sometimes painful) emotions throughout. One of my favorite tracks is "Words".

you guys are making me feel like i've missed some good stuff. super surprised madame x is getting so much love. different era but u wouldn't even know that album came out recently. i'm not a "fan" per se, but she's had a couple of inescapable ear worms. the only thing i have in my random tracks is keep together. i'd forgot about deeper and deeper and what it feels like for a girl. i might just go listen to words. if there's moody madonna then i'd probably fuq with that version of her, but she still kinda irks me, but i need some new music

Goodbye To Innocense is marvelous love it. And Secret Garden is one of his hidden gems and so is In This Life, what a sad song, wish it had a video.

TOday I watched a couple of her videos, and how great her videos are specially Bad Girl which it looks like a mini movie, Express Yourself is another masterpiece of a video, Vogue is her most stuning visual wise, You'll See another gorgeous video and Take A Bow, what a way to use images and concepts like this one:

It changes depending on my mood, for me its a tie between True Blue (1986) and Like a Prayer (1989) and the album covers were amazing too nod

Though it didn't especially fit in with the other songs, Rain was an underrated single. I think it would have been much bigger if there wasn't released at the peak of anti-Madonna backlash against the overt sexuality of Erotica .Just a gorgeous sounding song.

Wow, I am surprised nobody talk about "La isla bonita", for me is a very beautiful sound, clearly one of the best songs of Madonna.
