This was first recorded by Jermaine Jackson & Whitney Houston, but it was never released.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I've always loved Linda Ronstadt's duet with Aaron Neville - Don't Know Much. Beautiful.

I also love the entire Ray Charles Genius Loves Company duets.

Prince and Rosie Gaines - Nothing Compares.....

I love the Prince and Rosie Gaines "Nothing Compares" duet too, as well as the Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville "Don't Know Much" one. I don't think I know the Ray Charles ones. I saw a lot of duets mentioned by other posters that I love as well, but they would take too long to list. lol....However, I did love the Lionel Richie-Diana Ross "Endless Love" duet, but not so much after they appeared on one of the award shows and sang it a long time ago. I remember poor Lionel singing his heart out to Diana, but she just ignored him and sung directly to the camera instead lol.....I remember feeling so bad for Lionel! lol....Does anyone else remember this?

I thought this was about separate acts who made songs together, not groups like Ashford & Simpson. If those can count, then why not songs like More Than Words by Extreme or songs by The Beatles, Earth Wind & Fire, O'Jays, The Temptations, etc. where they have songs with 2 or more singers doing leads.

During their tenure with Jam and Lewis, it was always a delight to hear Cherrelle and Alexander O' Neal on a duet.
