It's a satire site created by a conceptual artist, whose work centers around race relations. The woman who created the site offered a response to someone over at the NPGMC site, and she seems like a right-on lady with a sense of humor. | |

Months ago I visited the BPLU website. That weekend there was a write-up about it in the NY Times. Don't think the writer was feelin' it at all! Honestly, I wasn't offended. I thought it was a very insightful social commentary on race relations. But, I can see how some people might be offended. Personally, I like to weigh all the issues (and give the matter serious thought) before I jump to conclusions.
Another thing, I thought that the white couple were pawns and that the brain chile (or chi'ren) behind the website were African American. | |
