Sad news indeed. One of my absolute favourites. RIP, fella. "Not everything that is faced can be changed; but nothing can be changed until it is faced." - James Baldwin

RIP
This is tough. I remember my mom used to play his 45 Ain't No Sunshine. My favorite by him is Use Me. I also remember the iconic songs Lovely Day and Just The Two Of Us duet with Grover Washington. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Yeah, it's very good. It's online, if anyone wants to watch it during the lockdown: "Not everything that is faced can be changed; but nothing can be changed until it is faced." - James Baldwin

All of the month of March, I've been listening to that "Lovely Day" cover on the Bodyguard soundtrack (S.O.U.L. S.Y.S.T.E.M. introducing Michelle Visage, produced by Cole & Clivilles). What a wonderful composition.

Watched it last night. He was only turning 70 in it. Can't believe I hadn't seen it. Really enjoyed learning about his career before music and the friends he has kept over the years.

Bill Withers & Kenny Rogers: Ain't No Sunshine, Lean On Me You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
