She’s behaving herself on Instagram now, I wonder if her people pulled an intervention and talked to her cause that video was so weird

Yeah I agree, she doesn’t even look like herself and she was such a gorgeous lady. I’ve seen in people’s comments online that they think she has dementia

Bad enough she talked about blowing up the White House years ago, but now this where she calls the Coronavirus "The Great Equalizer"???

She really seems to be out of touch with reality. Thoughts about this video?

IMO, Madonna is correct. The Coronavirus doesn’t discriminate. It IS an equalizer. It doesn’t care what race, age or gender you are. It doesn’t matter if you are rich or more. This virus is attacking everyone. Madonna is correct, the Coronavirus IS an equalizer.

Btw, Madonna doesn’t look bad. This woman is 60+ and looking pretty good.

^^Come on Free2BeMe, let's be real and honest here, a 60+ woman sitting a bath, talking about the Coronavirus being an equalizer, doesn't come off like someone that's all there mentally, and even she probably realized that, in which is why her post was deleted by her or someone on her team. And as for looking good, that's debateable. She looks like someone who has had a lot of work done, in her effort to try and stay young, someone that's barely recognizable. Remember, folks haven't forgotten what the real face of Madonna looked like, they aren't stupid or blind.

Yeah, not her finest moment. That's the problem with Instagram though, it removes the filter and PR guidance a lot of these celebs rely on.

On a side note, I don't know why all of these celebs feel we need to hear from them so urgently right now. I can appreciate folk like Chris Martin doing a little home concert or Jamie Oliver doing some emergency cook with the stuff in your cupboard videos, but all these celebs doing vids offering their opinions and "advice" ... can't they just leave us alone for a bit?

Agreed. And for them with their mansions and acres of property surrounding it with staff getting shit for them, it's easy to say "Stay the fuck inside.". It's different for real folks. In these times they better entertain, like Ellen or Melissa Etheridge (who does a daily 3 song live concert) for example and/or otherwise shut the fuck up and not tell us what to do.

I agree with you on the side note. I too wish that the celebs would just "leave us alone for a bit". Some of them are so far removed from real life, that they don't have a clue how the other half lives. They don't realize that when they get on their soap boxes and put in their two cents worth, trying to give others advice, that it comes off kind of arrogant and condescending on their part, as if they know more than we do, and like we should be thrilled that they are giving us peasants their words of wisdom, that we should blindly follow and do. It can really be annoying, so no thank you!

As far as I know, a person would have to be following famous people on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, their official websites, etc. to see any advice. So the only way to be tired of whatever they say is to be constantly looking at their posts.

I don't think the followers of the former host of The Apprentice is tired of him Tweeting.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

But the regular news started to turn into Entertainment Tonight & The National Inquirer in the 1990s. razz It's not like Walter Cronkite was talking about Burt Reynolds or The Rat Pack all the time in his day. Now mainstream news reporters talk about what happened on The Bachelor, American Idol, & The Masked Singer. Modern newspeople follow celeb social media, so someone is still reading or watching what they post. They purposefully look for posts that will get people to watch their programs or click on their sites. The lot of people are interested in celebrities and what they say and talk about it. If they weren't it wouldn't get reported. There's a reason TMZ exists and people are now really famous for nothing like the Kardashians and The Housewives Of Gilligan's Island. lol In the past it was only Zsa Zsa Gabor. Cancel culture & MeToo would not exist without social media. People now can get fired for some tweet from 10 years ago that someone dug up or a bikini photo in Instagram. If you know the news talk about celebs, and you don't want to hear it, then don't watch it or read it. Problem solved.

Exactly this! Most of the people in my office have more brain power than most of the celebs on Instragram-land.

If most of the celebs on there knew what most of us really think of them they'd be boo-hooing in to their polar bear skin blankets.

I've never in my life watched the news on purpose because I don't care about it. I've only seen it when someone else has it on, and even then I don't really pay attention to it. I do read and watch things about music acts and actors I like. That's the only news I look at voluntarily. I don't wanna hear about bad things and have never been interested in politics or the government. Never registered to vote. Since I'm not interested in that, I don't watch the regular news. It's really easy to do.

There's more people who do want to hear about celebs than don't. So don't watch it if you don't want to hear about celebs or find a news outlet that doesn't talk about what celebs post on social media. It's not going away because it makes money. Tabloids are still around because they make money and a lot of people read them. TV is full of celebrity gossip shows like Wendy Williams and also reality shows. Apparently people on this site are interested in what celebs do since every week there's some thread about what Madonna does, Lizzo twerking at a basketball came, Lady Gaga flopping, the Jackson family, what Mariah Carey & Madonna are wearing, claims about James Brown being murdered, Woody Allen's autobiography, who are the contestants on The Masked Singer, Chaka Khan siging the national anthem, Whitney Houston's hologram tour, etc. You're posting on a Prince site, he's a celeb. lol

Does not matter. You are still posting here and you have a picture of Michael Jackson. I don't make myself watch or read something I don't like or have no interest in just because it's there. I don't click on threads of topics I'm not interested in. Like you won't see me posting in a D'Angelo thread. razz You volunteer to watch the news but complain about the content. No one is forcing you to watch whatever it is. I don't watch horror movies because I don't wanna see blood & guts. Easy to do. Like I said, find a news program that isn't celebrity driven. Otherwise, you have no reason to complain about something that won't be changed just because you don't like it. If it's that important to you, talking about it on a music based website isn't going to help you. Write your complaints to whoever runs the TV networks or the news programs. Maybe then they will stop having celeb news just because you wrote them.

No. What you say doesn't matter. What you say is quite dumb, actually. News is news. What Madonna, Paul Stanley, Tommy Lee, Brian May or whoever else thinks what people should do in a time like this, is not news, so it shouldn't be on there, but it is. I haven't asked for any of their opinions on what I should do in a time like this. Their opinion is not more important than anyone elses. So really, they should keep it to themselves and not tell us what to do. Which was our original point, not the whole tangent you went on of asking us to close us off so we don't come across their unwanted advice. And even if you don't follow their personal pages, chances are that if you don't lead a very sheltered life one way or the other, you hear about what they think people should do. And that's what we're objecting to. These "celebrities" shouldn't get on their soapboxes, telling people what to do, like their opinons are somehow special and more important than others.

Posters are simply posting their opinions, I don't see where anyone is "hating on and bullying this artist". If you don't like it or agree with it, then just don't read it! Why demand that the thread be deleted, just because you disagree with it? It's an example of some in today's world, who tries to shut people up and silence them, simply because they don't like what they have to say!

Sounds like you are trying to shut up what Madonna & other celebrities are posting because you don't like what they have to say. lol Anyway it isn't their fault news programs talk about what celebs post on their personal pages that are primarily for their fans. They didn't put out a press release for the general public. Why demand that the news not repeat what celebs say because you disagree with it.
