Putting John Lennan and not Paul McCartney as well? I know some Beatles fans who would go crazy at this.
They would, but it's reality.
As a melodist, musician, hell even songwriter, he's dead even or way better than Lennon depending on department, depending on perspective.... Buuut lyrically, those "Sailor Sam & Jailor Man" bicycle-built-for-two school marm lyrics of his ain't beating anybody. Lyrically he's on about the same level as Ringo wanting to be unda the sea.
Now you're underrating John Lennan. |

Joni Mitchell. Very original and truthful. Her work is poetry really. |

Have you heard of Jona Mitchell? She is really neat. All those acts are very good but, IMHO, Jona beats them. I didn't know much about her until I jammed to a few songs by her. I def advise.
Yes, I know who Joni Mitchell is. She's no Cole Porter. Sorry. Givin' up food for funk. |

I hate being entirely committal , but it's tough to approach Joni. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
μηδὲν ὅλως σὺ λυποῦ
πρὸς ὀλίγον ἐστὶ τὸ ζῆν
τὸ τέλος ὁ χρόνος ἀπαιτεῖ.” |
