This guy has issues and the ppl who say he talks sh*t, R the ones who haven't experienced the life.

Mike Skinner (a.k.a The Streets) is pure talent and a poet who has taken Garage, spat in it's face and turned it around in2 something which, the lyrics actually MEAN SOMETHING.

I just listened to this CD on Friday out of share boredom of the CD's I had. It was a good choice cause I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

I agree in part with what's been said about the streets but I do feel that he's saying nothing that hasn't already been said by many an mc on the underground scene in the UK - don't get me wrong, I like it but I do have an issue with the 'original' concept. I know many working mc's in the UK who have been creating positive informative rhymes without recognition for years and sometimes I feel that if some record mag says it's hip and original everyone joins in, again don't get me wrong, it is a good album. Personally, I like Ms. Dynamite too, love the positive message of her music and the interesting sounds on the album.

again it's not a criticism, just an opinion

If you really understood my opinion then u would have noted I didn't compare the Streets and Ms. Dynamite, I merely said I was feeling the album and the positive messages as someone had mentioned her album earlier!!!

listening to this right now...i knew there was some threads about him... "weak become heros" great track!...i started listening to this cd again i think its pretty cool minus one or two tracks i dont like.


and for some reason i never bothered to see it was an enhanced cd(duh!)_ im having problems with the sound on the vids sucky

I work in a Wreka Stow - and 4 some reason, everyone who has come in 2 buy it (which havent been many funnily enough) are really wierd dope-heads.
Then again, I only live a short drive away from where they hail from, so that's prob got a lot 2 do with it. Inner City Depravation. Man, that music is so depressing. Thing is tho - I knwo that it is needed, and as equally viable as anything else out there - not 2 mention that I cant knock it 4 being unique. It frustrates the hell outta me!
Still - if Yoko could make a career outta 'singing'...

I love this album! Except for "Weak Become Heroes", I can listen to the CD all the way through.

I love "The Irony of it All". I like the dual roles he plays in the song. "It's too Late" was one of the first tracks I heard before buying the CD, and it's still a favorite.

When listening to Mike, I actually pay attention to his lyrics. Unlike with many other rappers.
