Sigur Ros - Music Written By Angels? I adore this band unlike any other. Man, the sheer beauty of their music is breathtaking.
I 1st got in2 them nearly 4 years ago when I was living away from home at college, and heard them being played over the PA in a record store - I literally stopped in my tracks, and couldnt move until the song ('Svefn-g-Englar - all 6+ mins of it!) had finished, such was the enourmity & power of it all. Prince, as an Artist definately has me suckered - has done since 1983, and (all being well), always will do. But Sigur Ros, they are just one unique band that I personally feel no-one can touch. If u are looking 4 musical bliss, then I suggest u check these guys out... Any Orgers here in2 them? Heard them? Seen them live? (Seeing them live is an unreal experience, as their recorded music is SO good u just wonder HOW on Earth are they gonna pull it off, and top it? Thing is, they DO! Then just 4 good measure, they go and do it better! AWE-inspiring in the truest sense of the term. This is what music 2day SHOULD be like - moving. And right now, in this current volatile climate, Sigur Ros are more releavant than ever... There just simply are not any apt enough adjectives 2 describe their music - if I had 2 in one word though, it would be quite simply: BLISS

we used one of their songs in our last play, in the preshow music, and the played here in town one of the nights we performed, so i wanted to go, but was not able. but i did really enjoy the song while i was under the stage waiting for our show to begin. just saw their show a month or so ago and i was in pieces! the performance was so amazing. that music just creeps up inside you and pulls the cords on your emotions. Did you pick up the soundtrack cd? It is just as good as the rest of their material.

Agaetus Byrjun is really beyond words. That album is stunning and sweepingly beautiful. I don't understand one word but it touches all the way to the depths of my soul, and then touches further. I love them. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740
