At this point, I'm more anxious for the video and visual. No doubt a lot of South American flavor is going to be in it. I almost feel like it's going to be a mash-up of "La Isla Bonita", "Buenos Aires", and "Take A Bow"/"You'll See" aesthetic. Cultural Appropriation WTF! haha

lol True! For some reason I wasn't even realizing their SHOULD be a video for it. Pale white skin and over-exposed lighting coming soon!

Oh really? hmmm When I first saw the tracklist for this album,I had no idea who these guest artists are.Maluma? Annita? I can't name any of their solo songs.

As for this new record she is like Mariah she works with whoever is happening at the moment,

Anitta is huge i didnt know of her till I saw a thing she did with Becky G who basically is on everything right now being released to radio, a track called "Banana" but their Youtube hits on Anitta and Maluma are off the charts, not that i really buy into that stuff because like you said we have never heard a song by them and that is true, so YouTube and clicks for me it doesnt really hold water i really know that there is a way to fabricate all these numbers through social media and sharing etc...and also nothing is physically selling so really who are you if you cant sell something. But Anitta is pretty hot hence all the Youtube views

Maybe I'm getting pessimistic in my old age, maybe I've been about for too many new M releases now ... but all of her last few albums were meant to be "something different this time".

The pre-release hype always sounds like she wanted to do something different than before but its been years since she actually delivered on that promise (and I say that as a huge fan who has enjoyed every album she's done). We'll see though ... here's hoping ...

oh come on.....look at the song titles and the guest artists....this doesn't seem like a typical Madonna dance/pop album biggrin this looks like something deeper and much more interesting.

But I don't want a "Madonna And Friends" album, I just want a Madonna album ... I want to hear what she's got to say and I want to hear her voice, not someone else.

And song titles could mean anything, I don't connect them to the quality of the actual song; Unapologetic Bitch and Illuminati sounded pretty interesting titles last time, but they turned out to be a bit m'eh, at least to me.

There are 15 songs on this album and only 5 of them feature guest artists. You still have the other ten tracks lol actually, you have a total of 13 Madonna-only tracks if you buy the box set or the deluxe 2-CD set.

I don't mind a few guest artists if they enhance the music and bring something exciting to the table.I loved hearing Nas on "Veni Vidi Vici",which surprised me because I usually don't like guest rappers on an artists' song. This time,Madonna has an album with Spanish,Portugese and other latin music styles so to me, it makes sense to bring a few artists from those genres to add some spice to these songs.

Ah,see this is the problem. You're holding on to those past albums, hoping Madonna will magically do it all again. Those albums are wonderful, but she's already done it.You can't expect her to repeat that. It's a different time.

Hell no ... there's a ton of detail I haven't touched on! lol

Its just the "featuring" thing that's prevalent again ... but that's been a bug bear of mine for a while. M to me never needed other artists propping her up on her albums (at least not upfront, behind the scenes for sure, Nile, Pat, Orbit, etc) ... those 8, 10, 12 tracks on an M album used to just be her voice, with the odd exception over the years (Prince, Lenny, Babyface). I believe she's strong enough to do it on her own still.

She disagrees though. And I'd have probably been cool with that if Hard Candy, MDNA and Rebel Heart were in the same class as Ray of Light or Erotica, but lets be honest, they weren't (a caveat that I really enjoyed all three albums still).

And I say this as a HUGE fan ... she could probably fart an album of Justin Beiber cover versions and I'd still lap it up. But I almost class following M as following your favourite sports team ... I want her to do well in album reviews, album sales, how her ongoing legacy is building, etc. because I think she deserves it ... and its just really nice to see your favourite artist doing well.

Maluma - no idea who he is - looks like about 100 porn stars out there; hypermasculine, cocky, lots of bravado. It's nice to hear a man's voice on this song, because there's a sensuality underneath it. He's good eye candy for that. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all, but whatevs.

I like it. It's a fun song, beautiful video. Some of the color saturation and tones are just wonderful. Gonna get tired of the eye patch real quick, but that's my own flex.

Yeah, she did. LOL You know, it's two things that harken back to the erotica period, because the cover of that album is her sucking on someone's toe, and that imagery was in the "Erotica" video and the SEX book. Also, other thing is that SEX was originally going to be called X. There was also a big South American section of The Girlie Show as there was with Drowned World Tour.

She sorta sticks out as a midwest white girl when there is a lot of non-America aesthetic around her, but overall it's always done well.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

The MTV interview was fun, everyone was so nervous you could tell. 2019 and we still can’t get multiple locations correct without comical delay. Speculation is she began and remained seated throughout the program due to dat azz. So who knows what she will do at the awards show. It was very subdued in the video.

What a great new video.

Song is OK. I don't dislike it.

With the video, it's all pretty good.

Love her images.

She's love to dress up and that's (still) great.

Hope she took some singing lessons again.

And apparently she's going to tour again... that I was affraid of...

Mine too. Love that section. Hope she keeps thsat look for the tour. The white wedding dress scenes are a bit too 'Bitch I'm Madonna'-esque but it's a fun video, one of her best for years.

It's a mess, plain & simple, but I'm glad she is doing it! Looking forward to the Awards show in less than a week. Love these weekly goodies for this promo.

.

Also there are no official remixes as of yet however Barry Harris of Thunderpuss fame has posted a 'moombahton' remix with a DL link on his Soundcloud page.

I don't think it's a mess at all. That's dismissive and lacks valid critique.

That said, I am enjoying the song more and more as I listen to it. I like the video: She meets a guy in a dance class and ends up marrying him, scared that she's exposing her true self to him. The lyrics talk about finding her real self again.

There are so many fun and probably unintentional throwbacks in the video: the white cowboy hat a la "Music"; the South American aesthetics of "Living For Love", and "La Isla Bonita"; the riding crop from "Erotica" (and the same could be said for the eye patch); the alter ego of Madame X vs that of Dita, your mistress for tonight in "Erotica"; and more.

There are a few sites that have the translated lyrics from Maluma and her in the song. It's a love song, two people against the world. And Madge has always been a ride or die sorta gal sometimes.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.
