I like the new song. It has that South American flavor in it which I'm enjoying. Like I said, she does well with that sort of thing, going back to "La Isla Bonita". It's a tame start for a new record (reminds me of "If I Was Your Girlfriend" being a lackluster lead single for Sign O The Times). Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

The new song, in case someone hasn't heard yet.
I have to admit it hasn't sink in to me so far. Many people are saying it's the same feeling in the beginning, but that about the 5th listen the song becomes good. We'll see. [Edited 4/21/19 5:01am]

The new single has some good parts in it,but I'm not in love with it.Madonna has done much better latin-styled music in the past.Maybe it will grow on me still excited for the album, though.

I feel the same way.I'm actually surprised that she would release something this mellow as the first single. So used to hearing a loud, thumping first single from her

this song is no bueno.
what on earth is she thinking here?
she usually times her big comebacks perfectly... but in this case, she REALLY needed something great and it isn't this mess.
looks like it is bombing on itunes and streaming charts too... yikes...
she may have finally hit her own New Power Soul era... where no one cares anymore...
i think madonna is an incredible artist... and very underrated as an artist who continually raised the bar on the quality of her work and the impact it made on culture... I am seriously rooting for her and hope the album is much more exciting than the single.

Madonna had a big build up for “Medellin” single this past Wednesday. She premiered it at noon with Zane Lowe on Apple’s Beats 1 Radio like it was the second coming. The song turned out to be a snooze, written and sung with Colombian Reggaeton star Maluma. But 1, 2, cha cha cha, “Medellin” failed to catch on. It rose to number 9 on iTunes briefly. and now sits at number 24 32 now number 43 as of 9:45pm Saturday. On Spotify, “Medellin” has yet to chart on any of the US charts. It’s parked at around number 3o on streaming chart from Colombia. “Medellin” was supposed to the big lead in for Madonna’s “Madame X” album coming on June 14th. The lack of interest in “Medellin” should be worrying. Madonna’s last several albums of new songs were all flops. She gave some of them away with concert tickets to inflates sales figures. I have to say, I was surprised “Medellin” was so bad. It was as if she was trying to do Camilla Cabello with “Havana” but wound up on a cruise playing shuffleboard. “Medellin” has no life to it. I can’t imagine that she thought young people were going to be singing along to “1 , 2, cha cha cha.” If she’s smart, she’ll get an upbeat remix out right away. Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman

The org should not allow anything from Roger Friedman, who's out to sabatoge Madonna. Look at this tweet.
