Drake (Aubrey Graham) is related to Larry Graham as well as the Hodges who recorded with Al Green.

If being related to someone famous is a help, how come none of the Beatle kids records blew up other than Julian Lennon's debut album? Stella McCartney is popular in the fashion field, but none of the others became a hit. The same can be said for the records of Yoko Ono and Paul's brother Mike McGear. The Fabs are way more known than Larry Graham and session musicians. Phil Collins' son Simon put out music too. Being a Jackson hasn't helped the solo records of Jackie, Randy, Tito, LaToya, etc. How about Frank Stallone? Also popular actors releasing albums and vice versa generally doesn't help them to automatically be a success. Like not that many people were checking for Mick Jagger & Madonna movies or the music albums of Philip Michael Thomas, Kevin Bacon, Robert Downey Jr, Bill Cosby, & Eddie Murphy You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

. I mean in Aubrey's defense he did star in a Canadian kids TV show in a wheelchair for years and has somehow since become one of the world's most popular "rappers" without even really rapping so he's got something going for him. . I will stand by my declaration that Al Green once provided the most entertaining concert that I have ever had the privalege of attending. I was a non-believer and I went and bought his albums the next day, that guy exudes charisma and can sing his face off. if it was just a dream, call me a dreamer 2

I'm so happy that I grew up in the 70s when we had incredible singers like Al Green and amazing bands like Chicago.....REAL MUSIC!

Sounds like it, most of his music sounds fresh. Even in his latter years he maintained that spontaniety, like that Questlove-produced album

I just love Al! Hubby and I were listening to his music last weekend and we both commented on how great he was and still is.

Al always nails it and could bring soul to anything but with this footage I love seeing Chicago as a backing band, so much talent.
