I often wondered why Jam and Lewis didnt produce the entire album? The rest of the album was good but does not hold up to the Vandross-produced "Instant Love" or the Ray Parker-produced "In the Night". "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

J & L did produce a couple of tracks on the next album "It's Gonna Be Right" but they didn't pack the same punch as "Encore". "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Not sure, but didn't she have an online beef with Anita Baker a few years back? I believe it was on Twitter and Anita supposedly blocked her. The shade!!!!! | |

Jam & Lewis kicked it with her one last time in 2004 with a joint called "Sweet Kind Of Life." It's from the "Shark Tale" soundtrack and she SLAYED it! <3 Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up. | |

Throughout her career,Cheryl has been fortunate to work with some of the finest producers in the biz.
Her 1st album featured production by the guys in Toto (earlier,she sang the chorus on their hit "Georgy Porgy")
Her third album found her working with Ray Parker Jr.
Her forth album was produced by Luther Vandross
The next album featured the Jam and Lewis-produced "Encore" and,as noted above,Jam and Lewis also produced a track for the next album.
In 1987,she worked with Bernadette Cooper and had a truly funky hit,"New Dress".

She is SUCH a HAM on the CAM! LOL! LOVE her! And y'know...nobody had any beef with her about her size. She was one of the luckier ones that didn't catch that kind of abuse like Martha Wash did when C&C Music Factory replaced her with a slim model in their videos. Vesta too. She was unfortunately judged for her weight and even worse, was Deborah Iyall from Romeo Void. She REALLY got slammed. So sad. Cheryl just kept doin' her thing and didn't care, apparently. Good 4 HER! <3 Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up. | |

I remember Vesta(R.I.P.) I ran into her once at Disneyland she carried & wore her weight very well. She was hilarious & a powerhouse singer. I miss her. "That mountain top situation is not really what it's all cracked up 2 B when  was doing the Purple Rain tour had a lot of people who knew 'll never c again @ the concerts.just screamin n places they thought they was suppose 2 scream." |

Good 4 HER! <3 Actually, Cheryl did catch flack over her weight. Upon release of her last U.S. album “Whatever It Takes”, she had lost a lot of weight. I remember seeing an interview with her saying she felt it would help her career because she wasn’t happy with the performance of her last two albums and felt the labels didn’t promote her because of her weight. I believe “ Whatever It Takes” was on Virgin Records. The title track along with “Everytime I Try to Say Goodbye” were her strongest singles in a while but, for whatever reason, Virgin decided she was not a priority. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.!
