Moniquea "Check Your Sources"

One of my Facebook friends is a DJ and he occasionally posts a live set.Today,he played an amazing mix that included this song that I never heard before. It's a 2017 song by a female R&B artist named Moniquea, but I thought it was a lost track from 1983! biggrin I was boppin' my head, thinking 'I gotta find this song'.What you guys know about this?

"Check Your Sources" by Moniquea (2017)

I bought that album about a year ago on vinyl, it's funky as hell. cool

Haven't listened to it since, though, I might have to get it out again.

I like this lady smile her album has a cool, early 80s-retro sound that I like.I’m gonna have to explore her other albums too.

If you like this, check out XL Middleton. Specifically, the album "Things Are Happening". Same kind of thing. In fact, they work with each other a lot.

in fact,I know you do
Distorting what I’m saying
Won’t change my attitude”
