it takes a very selfless person to lead a 'revolution'. we sure don't need any more self centeredness in this world. i notice she's responding to comments on her fb etc again because new musics coming out.
I don't know. I've noticed that she's happiest and more engaging when she is in a loving relationship which seems to be the case. I think the one she is in now is giving her a confidence that she didn't have before and she's feeling loved and wants to share that with others. I think it's also possible she read what some of us were saying on a previous thread about her not interacting with her followers like she was before and decided to change that. I've noticed she responds to most comments now.

The Prince connection is there no matter what she does. The fans often post pics of them together on her FB and I saw that she hearted a few. She will always be connected with him through the music they recorded together. She does seem proud of her time with him and has always expressed that. He didn't seem to have a problem with her. I came across a tweet of his on FB the other day where he posted a screen shot from one of her Stage Its in August 2015 and he appeared to be very proud of her. |

Very true Pink. I think all of Prince's past associates/girlfriends/friends will always be connected to him. That's just how it works in this culture. If you are in the business and have or had a relationship with someone at the "top" of that chain, so to speak, there will always be an interest in that connection.
*
Look at Wendy and Lisa. I'm pretty sure that in just about every interview they did (and I've watched/read many) from 1987 to present they were asked about their time with Prince. Every single one. So, I'm sure it was both a blessing and also a curse in some ways, as they wanted to be recognized on their own merits too. However, just like Andy, they are proud of their time with him, and have been sharing stories and honoring him after his passing which is great. |

Yes,I love hearing stories from those who worked closely with him and I appreciate them sharing their memories. I know Wendy and Lisa are very accomplished in their own right but they really seem to enjoy talking about their time with him and their experiences with The Revolution. I appreciate that Sheila has been opening up more recently as well. Andy hasn't really said too much about her time with him. From the stories she has shared,I get the feeling her favorite memories were of them playing ping pong and harmonizing while playing their acoustic guitars. |

I'm sure she has some great stories about her time with him, and hopefully she'll decide to share more at some point. It would be great to get a personal perspective of him during that 2011-2013 time frame, because he was still so reclusive and keeping the mystery going.

As Susan Rogers recently said, let's hear from everyone who spent time closely with him so we can really get to know the man that he was - both personally and musically.

Yes, I agree. I hope more associates from that time will share their stories too. I enjoyed Dr. Funk's interviews with Adrian Crutchfield,Marcus Anderson and Dave Hampton, along with the others that had worked with Prince in the last few years. It was nice to get their perspective and hear their recollections and stories from that period. |

Yes but she didn't reply to nearly every comment like she has done lately. She usually replied only to her friends and the fans she knew personally. She's getting more followers and comments since she's started doing it I've noticed.
When she was with Prince she rarely replied to comments from her followers although she did do a few chats on FB in late 2012. [Edited 2/18/19 18:33pm] |

True. He seemed to be opening up more though in some ways such as interacting with the fans on Twitter and with the PPAD parties. Andy did share a nice story about him when interviewed at the Apollo Hall of Fame Induction that I came across again. She said one night at a show she decided to play something on guitar off the cuff during 'Little Red Corvette' that she had been rehearsing but that he had not known about. She said she thought it sounded good so she decided to play it and Prince called her over to stand next to him. She said she was scared at first and thought that maybe she shouldn't have done it but he motioned for her to keep going. She said that experience taught her that it was okay to take chances and to challenge yourself. Seems he had loosened up a good bit and wasn't as strict with the band members. |

I was not aware if violetcrush had heard that story thank you. It's the only story that she has shared of her time working with him. I'm aware that she has moved on. Actually I believe that happened long before Prince passed. She seemed to be over him in that way by late 2014 and had been in a relationship for a year before Prince passed.

Yes Pink. I had not really followed Andy Allo and her time with Prince, so I did not know about it. I do hope she shares more about that time, as well as, others who were close to him in the later years. |

Virtually everything on Prince.org rehashes Prince's music and life, especially relationships. Based on your premise, should we all just "move on" and forget about him AND this website? |

Right, and even when certain stories/events are being "re-hashed" I still usually learn something extra that I didn't already know and/or I end up giving another member information that they had not known. SOOOO much to cover in his lifetime of music and relationships!! |

It would be nice if she would. Shelby J has told some nice stories on her FB Lives about touring and some of the trips they took. She hasn't done one in a while but she still has the videos up. |

Not sure what that has to do with Andy's hair but ok. She's seemingly moved on from her time with him and seems to want to kind of distance herself from him now. She looks very happy now in her current relationship and she seems to be getting closer to acknowledging it publicly.
