Andy has been sharing photos of lesbian couples on her IG stories the past few days and said that she finds them to be an inspiration.It looks like she may have fallen for someone of the same sex on the heels of her last breakup and has been slowly revealing that to her followers and now the world. I think she has confused some with her latest video who didn't seem to be aware of some of the more recent happenings in her life.

Is it possible that she's just now feeling more comfortable and confident with publicly showing who she really is from a sexuality standpoint? I think there are certainly cases of younger people "experimenting" with various types of sexuality, but it seems she is beyond the age for that to be happening. I think we really are just arriving at a place in our culture where celebrities can feel more comfortable with being honest and open about their lifestyle choices. Could her comment on IG about being inspired by the lesbian couples may be relating to her being lifted by their ability to be honest and put themselves out there?? Just some thoughts....

I'm thinking that's probably what's going on.I think Prince's passing may have given her a nudge too with her realizing the fragility of life and the importance of being true to ones self. After he passed,she said in some interviews that he taught her the importance of authenticity as an artist and to not compromise. It seems she had up until now kept that side hidden. I think she is likely bi, although I never saw any indication of that untill recently and she had only publicly dated men.

Well, good for her. It must be extremely difficult to go through life, especially in the public eye, and not be able to be who you reallyl are or who you want to be. I'm sure it will alleviate some stress from her life. Wendy and Lisa had similar issues back in the day - even worse, because there was so much bigotry toward the gay community back then. Even though their sexuality was suggested in The Revolution, many just thought it was "for show", and they had to hide their relationship for many years. Such a shame, the long fight to be treated equal.

Suspected that she was a lesbian while working with Prince or that it's PR? If she was lesbian while working with him then,she seemed to be keeping that hidden because she got with another guy straight after and it appeared to develop into a somewhat serious relationship...at least serious for her. It seems she may have been in denial about her sexuality or was bi all along and had not yet revealed that publicly.

Prince knew.

They seemed very close and in love/infatuated at once, so I wouldn't be surprised if he knew how she identified. She may feel freerer to share and explore her sexuality now that's he's gone, and some time has passed since his passing. We'll never know how she truly identifies unless she clarifies it (I suspect bi but maybe not).

Possibly. I would wonder why she would feel freeer to explore with him gone if that is the case. I think she has left enough indication that she is likely bi,starting in 2017 with some of her social media posts. I'm interested in her music so it makes no difference to me how she identifies. I think she has come out to some of her family from the looks of it and she seems happier than she has in a while.

Yes she's bursting with confidence lately it seems. I've noticed her interacting a lot with her followers lately too. She said the new songs will be released later in the year. She leaked one of them back in the summer. It was a mid tempo dance track called 'Something About That Beat' I thought that might be the song she previewed on Stage It.

it takes a very selfless person to lead a 'revolution'. we sure don't need any more self centeredness in this world. i notice she's responding to comments on her fb etc again because new musics coming out.

I don't know. I've noticed that she's happiest and more engaging when she is in a loving relationship which seems to be the case. I think the one she is in now is giving her a confidence that she didn't have before and she's feeling loved and wants to share that with others. I think it's also possible she read what some of us were saying on a previous thread about her not interacting with her followers like she was before and decided to change that. I've noticed she responds to most comments now.
