We need to take race out of this and not say he was allowed to get away with this for so many years because the females involved were black. Black women know how to stand up for themselves when matters are involved that they are interested in. If this had of been a white male doing the exact same thing to black girls/women, his career would have been done a long time ago and probably would have been in prison by now. Black women stood by and said nothing for all this time because he is R. Kelly, they think he is sexy and they love his explicit music. It took a docuseries to bring this to the rest of the world. That's why we have not seen the outrage until now.

Sources connected to the case tell us the Fulton County District Attorney's Office has opened an investigation into allegationsmade against the singer in "Surviving R. Kelly." We're told the probe was launched over the past few days as a direct result of what 'Surviving' depicted.

We're told investigators have been reaching out to several survivors featured in the TV project. We have confirmed investigators reached out to Asante McGee, one of the women who escaped R. Kelly's home.

The attorney for Joycelyn Savage's family has also been contacted and has been speaking to investigators.

We're told investigators have been asking for contact information from others who have lived in Kelly's former Atlanta home or have direct knowledge of what happened in the home.

The Illinois District Attorney of Cook County asked victims to come forward, thereby opening their own case.

It's only a matter of time.

I had no plans of ever seeing this doc, but I got roped into seeing at least one episode. Wish I hadn't. The only thing I want to let come out my "mouth" right now is that more people(parents) are far more law abiding than we give them credit for.

You really need to continue. It covers the trial a bit, and his actions during it. But episodes 5 and 6 take a total 90º turn. I had me sitting on the edge of my chair waiting to see what happened.
