She clearly has a sense of humour and does not take herself seriously. I love the silly light character she projects - and if you think it's not a character she plays then you are kidding yourself.
Plus she is looking really great - more power to her! [Edited 9/14/18 20:24pm]

I agree! And sometimes you just have to keep telling a person to get the fuck out.

Have had this song stuck in my head all afternoon. My standard response to any question I get asked for the next couple weeks is going to be me singing "How 'bout u..."

I agree with everything you said. I only like one song by her, but she's a terrific vocalist.

"I Don't" had more flava. Am HAPPY there are no guest rappers for once. With a voice like Mariah's, they all make the productions too busy. Same with Janet. "No Sleeep" would have fared even BETTER without J. Cole up on it. Again, MY opinion/what MY EARS are hearing. Peace, luv 'n blessin's. <3 [Edited 9/15/18 16:53pm] Hungry? wow....could this really be the leadoff single from an upcoming album?
I'm thinking it's just a standalone single to keep her fans happy until the album is done. This song is waaayyyyyy too weak to be a lead single, lol

Agreed. It's too generic and bland. I wanna hear sista throw DOWN! Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

People are meme-ing the heck out of it. And the hook is memorable. You can't get steam at any real broadcasting outlet with that lyric though.

I love this song. Actually cant get it out of my head. In two days I knew the lyrics. Has an arresting melody and subtle synthy background. Its mysterious. I really like this song and one of my favorite singles of the year actually. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

I remember seeing Mariah and Celine Dion years ago with Aretha on some "Divas" show... Mariah and Celine strained their voices trying to compete with Aretha while she effortlessly hit every note without releasing the full power of her majestic voice... here's what i think of Mariah music from the last 22 years......
Getting old kills careers... Mariah will be 50 next year, dresses like she's 20 and acts like she's 13...
She was a fierce 20 year when she started, her voice was so strong, when she came off the "pop" princess path...that was about 1997/98...her career went south and no one believed her new "street" image sounds...

nineteen85 Produced the track. I know you and I both loved Majid Jordan’s first two albums. Nineteen85 worked with Majid Jordan on those albums. Mariah’s songwriting and Nineteen85 production is a perfect mix. . Didn’t even chart. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

Nice!! I didnt know that, loved Majid Jordan's albums yup. Real warm, dark production, much like the single so this makes sense. I hope the album is well done then! Straight Jacket Funk Affair

It's not surprising that zero sales were generated. The song is a horrid, trend-chasing snoozer. GTFO, indeed.
