Donald Fagen & The Nightflyers tour 2017 Donald Fagen (of Steely Dan fame) has recently started a solo tour with a new band called The Nightflyers, named after his famous first solo album "The Nightfly". They are a group of guys in their twenties and they sound great! They play somewhat less 'sterile' than the usual Steely Dan band and bring a bit more of a rockband feel to Donald's music. To me especially the guitar player and drummer stand out! People close to Donald say this band has revitalized him as person and as a musician.
I haven't seen the tour as unfortunately at this point there are only US and Japan dates, no Europe (yet?). Anyway, enjoy a bit of live video here:
