I wonder how long was the Newburgh 1976 rehearsal?The clan could have rehearsed more songs.
Special thang about Berg sessions is the only known live recording of Getting To Know You. You do know the version of Give Up The Funk on the Parliament Live LP is actually lifted from the the newberg sessions and edited into the LP. Why I don't know.
I too always wanted an official release of the Motor Booty Show on soundboard. It's strange nothing from that tour was included on any of the 4 discs live sets. Although Earth Tour is probably their finest hour live all around, it was a very rehearsed performance with cues of where to be at what time in the show. Motor Booty is way loose and improvisational and my personal favorite.

Do you have lights out bootleg from late eighties ? This is a pfunk allstars show where the power goes out for 45 minutes but the drummer keeps playing. It is pretty crazy to listen to .

This set is a mixed bag of course but "Love Is Something" by The Brides is classic and reason enough to check these out.

U.S. Music with Funkadelic is a self-titled album consisting of tracks recorded in the early 1970s by the band United Soul with input from members of Funkadelic. The album was released by Westbound Records in 2009...
U.S. Music with Funkadelic was George Clinton's first attempt to launch a P-Funk spin off act using up and coming musicians from his home town of Plainfield, New Jersey. "U.S." refers to the band United Soul, whose lead vocalist and guitarist Garry Shider provided guest vocals on the Funkadelic album Maggot Brain in 1971.[1] Following this, Clinton signed United Soul to his label, Parliafunkadelicment Thang Inc, and facilitated a collaboration between them and a few of his Funkadelic bandmates who were based in Toronto at the time.[1] The group recorded the five songs presented on this album, though only the tracks "Baby I Owe You Something Good" and "I Miss My Baby" were originally released as a one-off single by Westbound in 1972.[2] The release was credited to "U.S. Music with Funkadelic", which was probably meant to denote "U.S. with Music by Funkadelic" or simply "U.S. with Funkadelic".[citation needed]
Following this collaboration, Garry Shider officially joined the Parliament-Funkadelic collective together with fellow United Soul members Larry and Cordell Mosson,[1] and in 1973 an alternate version of the song "This Broken Heart" was included on the Funkadelic album Cosmic Slop.[3] A slower version of "Baby I Owe You Something Good" was also recorded by Funkadelic for the 1975 album Let's Take It to the Stage,[4] and The Brides of Funkenstein recorded their own version of "Rat Kiss the Cat on the Navel" in 1977, which was later featured on the 1993 compilation album A Fifth of Funk.[5] The original United Soul recordings from the 1972 single were included on the 1993 compilation Music for Your Mother: Funkadelic 45s,[6] and when the back-catalog of Funkadelic albums was remastered and re-released on CD in 2005, the original version of "Baby I Owe You Something Good" was included as a bonus track on Let's Take It to the Stage[7] and "I Miss My Baby" included with Maggot Brain.

I remember this album was released around the same time as George Clinton's Computer Games album,with the massive hit "Atomic Dog".I was happy to see the P-Funk sound surviving into the 80s."Pumpin' It Up" is a solid jam!!

I think you might dig Dope Dogs especially the track Dog Star. It's one of his better productions and a fairly fresh uptake on mixing old school and new in the mid 90s. We were all over it when it came out and wore the grooves out on it. It's like he tossed us a bone that still had a little meat on it.

True dat. I first got the Japanese version then had to get both the US and UK to get all the tracks. Then there is a disc with beaucoup mixes of the title track.
Toss in the rare Police Doggy EP for good measure as well.

I doubt it is archived as well. Imagine all the shelved projects that labels said no. They had so many geniuses/wizards in P-Funk. It was ridiculous.
The notes that Bernie Worrell's wife put up are heart breaking.
There is no doubt about it but Bernie was producing ALL THE RECORDS with George as soon as he came in the picture.
Who do you think would do the sessions if George was too out of it? Bernie deserves his name on all the records when he entered the band. He wasn't just the arranger, folks. He was a main producer as well.

Ah yes the One Nation "Anti Tour". This is where he said no props or glitter and just told the band to get to the gig best way you can. Let The Brides headline some of the gigs. Sheeeit The Dr was out in front of the venue out of costume hacking tickets lol. He said they did not have to worry about any spaceship hanging over their heads and let the music stretch out. The tour Hardcore Jollies says he caught in LA.
Got this CD awhile back.It's a 2-CD set of various live performances from different shows.It includes a surprising,instrumental cover version of Anita Baker's "Good Love".A cool set if you don't wanna seek out the more expensive 4-CD live sets,which are often harder to find.
For those of you who don't already have George Clinton's Chocolate City London P-Funk Live at Metropolis set (an amazing set that includes vinyl,CDs and DVD all in the same package!),discogs has several copies (NEW and sealed) for only $50....much cheaper than the prices you find elsewhere which tend to be around $100 or more.

I LOVE this set!! Props to our own mrwiggles who turned me on to it shortly after it came out. I paid $150 for it and do not regret it a bit.
