Fatalities Reported @ Ariana Grande UK Concert

WSTVKMz.jpg

May 22

There are fatalities following an incident at Manchester Arena in England on Monday, May 22nd, according to local police.

In a Facebook post, Greater Manchester Police released the following statement: "Emergency services are currently responding to reports of an explosion at Manchester Arena. There are a number of confirmed fatalities and others injured. Please AVOID the area as first responders work tirelessly at the scene. Details of a casualty bureau will follow as soon as available."

The warning to stay away from Manchester Arena came after reports of two loud explosions during the concert Monday night.

Yeah, there were some explosions right near the end of her show. People heard them and ran out of the venue (there are multiple videos).

This is what hurts so much. You know a concert like that there will be a lot of parents taking young and teen kids... sad

Sounds like a suicide bomber, possibly with a vest or pressure cooker (ie: Boston Marathon) packed with nails/ball bearings etc, was waiting outside the venue until the show was at it's end and then they went against the flow of thousands of fans exiting all at once until they got in the foyer. Virtually impossible for security to detect something with all those fans pouring toward and through the exits all at once.

Expect new security procedures going forward, nobody from the outside will be allowed near venue entrances/exits anymore when crowds are exiting.

Here's your answer, it was started there to use the deaths as an excuse to bash Trump. disbelief

This was in the OP in the other thread: "The day after asshat went to Saudi Arabia. Thanks Trump"

My prayers go out to all the surviving people and all the families who lost their love ones. This is why I preach on here to love and show appreciation for one another because we just never know when time is up on earth. That's why I thank the mods, the org family, and even those who hate me on here because at the end of the day no matter what is said and posted we are all org family. I have crohns disease and even though I hate having it, it made me understand life much better. I can't keep a job from being sick but I can spread love. Love you all and i'm praying for everybody to be happy safe and loved.

Hope she's alright ...

... going to a concert to sing and dance with likeminded strangers is one of the best experiences you can have as a human on this planet. The thought of 22 people going to a show and not making it home again is heartbreaking. Some of the young folk at this show might not ever want to go to a show again after last night ... so sad sad

I honestly don't know what the pointless individuals who carry out these attacks think they are going to achieve. What has any of the attacks carried out in the last few years achieved? Absolutely nothing. Pointless evil people. The victims will be remembered, the perpetrator won't.

Very sad and tragic and once again at an overseas concert, like the attacks in Paris, which was actually said to be aimed at the U2 concert that would be there a few days later (they were already in France) they wanted to kill more people. Believe it or not Concert venues are considered "soft" targets, despite all the security you see there is very little to guard this kind of attack here, MSG and other high venues are already on alert and will be changing entrance policies.

It does make you think twice ... and I know that's "giving in" to the terrorists but sometimes you wonder if its worth the risk. I saw New Order in London a few days after the Bataclan/Paris attack and though security was tighter it was still unnerving.

We did our first Glastonbury last summer and I remember remarking to a friend that it seemed like a very "soft" target; I hope I'm wrong and I'm sure there is a lot of security in place. The Festival is this time next month though ... makes you wonder neutral

People that plan to set off bombs don't care about children. The guy who mowed through a sidewalk in Times Square didn't care about children, women, the elderly, teenagers. Those videos are horrifying, to see people piling up on the hood of a car like that scene in Twister where the truck is barreling through the corn field.

Timothy McVeigh called the children he murdered in Oklahoma City "collateral damage".

Twelve of the victims were under the age of 16. Here are those people listed as fatalities. There are still many listed as missing by friends and family.

Saffie Rose Roussos was only eight years old.
