Billboard Greatest R&B/Hip Hop Songs/Artists/Albums of All Time

http://www.billboard.com/charts/greatest-r-b-hip-hop-albums

http://www.billboard.com/charts/greatest-r-b-hip-hop-songs

How It Works:

The Greatest of All-Time Top R&B/Hip-Hop Artists, Songs and Albums rankings are based on weekly performance on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (from its Oct. 20, 1958 inception through Feb. 25, 2017) and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (from its Jan. 30, 1965 inception through Feb. 25, 2017). Songs and Albums are ranked based on an inverse point system, with weeks at No. 1 earning the greatest value and weeks at lower spots earning the least. Due to changes in chart methodology over the years, eras are weighted differently to account for chart turnover rates over various periods. Artists are ranked based on a formula blending performance, as outlined above, of all their Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart entries

Macklemore has the 2nd highest single of all-time ... The really need to seperate these charts. From digital to physical sales.

I know this list is based on fixed quantitative data.

But it hurts my soul to gaze on any list where the Black Eyed Peas' The END is placed above Stevie Wonder's Songs In The Key of Life.

This is just further proof that hoi polloi can and does exhibit shitty taste in music often.

Billboard ought to simply rename this list as "Billboard's Highest Charting R&B/Hip Hop
Songs of All Time" and leave the "greatest" descriptor out of this discussion.

I didn't even know the Black Eyed Peas were charting on the R&B side, especially for them to land in that spot. eek
