FOR THE OLDTIMERS WHO LOVE JAZZ & THE VIBES. I don't know how to insert this so that it will play here, but click on the link box to open it in a new window and take a listen.I remember this album with fond memories of my daddy playing it on Saturday mornings, and I loved listening to it. I was only about 13 or 14 years old at the time, definitely into rock and roll and R&B, but somehow I knew I was listening to pure, master musicianship which would mesmerize true jazz lovers and aficionados until the end of time. Even now, it brings chills to my body and tears to my eyes.
open in new window to listen.

Couldn't open the link. But I'll find it. I met Lionel Hampton when he played on my college campus and back then I had NO appreciation for him. I do now. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Thanks for replying. Nice to see someone else who appreciates good music.
I'm sorry I messed up pasting the link, but it's on YouTube. Just type in Starbust or Lionel Hampton, and it will give you several options, but look for the album cover I pasted. You're in for a treat! | |
