we were just talking about him in a prince thread. I'd been wondering how much longer he would last and the thought crossed my mind that he'd die soon but I didn't think it'd really happen.

All of the icons from my childhood are dying off, yet assholes like Trump, Dick Cheney, those racist white supremacist alt-right groups and those corrupt Wall Street banksters are not only still here but thriving. Like sombedoy else said, somebody better round up Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Mick Jagger, Tina Turner, and Madonna and get them to an undisclosed location before they suddenly kick the bucket this week.

I can't say George Michael was one of my favorite artists ever, but I did love his Faith album, and his tracks like Careless Whisper, Everything She Wants, Freedom 90, and Jesus To A Child were awesome tracks. I also loved his cover of Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me he did with Elton John, and his Freddie Mercury tribute cover of Somebody To Love was amazing.

So sad to lose another incredible voice. He will be sorely missed. RIP George Michael.

I LOVED George Michael. Faith, Careless Whisper, Freedom, Father Figure.... He was a fine man and legendary talent. I remember being younger and loving the "Freedom" video, and him in the "Faith" video was just plain sexy. Go be with the Holy Father Georgie. I love you. RIP.

I was a little kid when I got into Wham, a teenager during Faith and LWP and then a grown ass gay man by the time of Outside and Patience. I am just too angry and too in shock to say much more, this year can not get any worse. I will probably wax poetic later on.

Just yesterday night (18 hours ago) I was playing a lot of GM songs and videos on Youtube, the thought actually crossed my mind, that he would die next and Little Richard not long after. Sometimes my eerie premonitions scare me.

i have premonitions too, they bother me. It' not just my heroes, it's maybe people who come into my mind for no obvious reason that's when i worry.
