A very good album and musically in concept.
Give Life Back To Music - Great song. Mid-disco. A great opener Giorgio by Moroder - This is also a great tune with some really experimental synth moments thrown in. The latter half is the best part. Loses re-play value with so much speaking but served its purpose on intial listens. Would like the instrumental. Lose Yourself To Dance Touch - Epic tune with a very climactic ending. Beautiful actually. Get Lucky Doing It Right I really like this one, it bangs and nice to get a little return to their older material for once. It starts to sound less like a Daft Punk album this far in after a couple clunkers Contact Epic. Epic. A splashtastic ending. Leaves you wondering what happens when we actually made contact in space.
This is in my opinion their second best album after "Discovery". It will be hard to top that centerpiece of an album. It was a very high comeback thouh after Human After All, which sounded uninspired and rushed. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Its a great album, I love Doing it right, insrant crush and loose yourself to dance. I do think that Homework is better though. It kicks harder. RAM also has some tracks i really dont like, they are almost annoying. |

I listened to "Instant Crush" and it always reminded me of someone I didn't want to. Gave the CD away. > It's got some cool electronical jams in there, so maybe I'll pick up another copy. | |

For me this is their masterpiece so far.... not one bad track on this record, and the layers and attention to detail are incredible. All the different collaborators somehow pull the album together into a cohesive whole, rather than making it sound all over the place, which is what often happens with that approach....
And the songs are great. The production is second to none. The vinyl is one of the very best modern pressings I've heard. It is so far ahead of their previous work, it's not even funny. God knows how they will follow it. |
