Guy's You Can Call Me Crazy is Al B. Sure singing. So, I was on my way home from work. My local classic Hip-Hop station (yes, we've reached that point) was playing and interviewing Teddy Riley. Well, the song You Can Call Me Crazy came up. And Teddy spilled the beans. It's not Timmy Gattling in that track, it's actually Al B Sure. PRINCE: Always and Forever

That's what I've always thought, because Al's voice is kinda distinctive. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Teddy told Gene they have a song thats not complete but has Al as guide vocals. Gene told them not to put it out like that but they did. PRINCE: Always and Forever

I've always thought it sounded like him in the background. Wow, that's him doing lead vocals too? That's crazy. Pun intended
I've always said that Guy's first album, as well as Al B Sure's, are masterpieces. So freaking good. Those were the days of great music. Look what we have now. Fucking Taylor Swift. [Edited 11/29/16 23:03pm]
