New Radiohead song -Dense theorie from paranoid coffee addict

Probably had way too much coffee again today, but what the
hell...

I just noticed that in "Where I end and You Begin" there's
a really high pitched voice. I don't think it's Yorke's vox
but rather a sampled vocal, it begins right after he sings:

X'll mark the place
like the parting off the waves
like a house falling in the sea

It's sort of angelical and if I'm not mistaken it must be
a sample from a performance of the classical piece the
"Miserere" by Gregorio Allegri.

I've listened to Miserere again today and if I'm right than
the vocal is sampled from the very very high pitched vocal
that runs trough the piece and pops up about every minute
or so. You can't miss it really.

Fcuz there are a gazillion performances from that out there
available on disc, so it's impossible to tell from which it
might be.

Anyhooo. If that might be the case then I'm sure Yorke or
someone else in the band has read Helmut Krausser's ultra
cool novel "Melodies".

Well, I say "ultra cool", but in fact it's not really that
great. It consists of two parallel stories, of which one is
written so fucking brilliantly that it could make you come.
The other is just a very nice story, with very interesting
theories about music and melodies. And it's a thriller too

Check out what someone whos heard the whgole thing has said about it Spark:

"I'm sorry, y'all. A friend of mine played me "2+2=5" and it was all over.
I just listened to the entire thing, and...HOLY FUCKING MOTHER OF GOD THIS ALBUM IS AMAZING.

Check it...

2+2=5 - This song might grow to be my favorite opening song on ANY album...of all time. This song is mindblowing, man. When "it" happens, this song gets absolutely crazy...you know what "it" is. Thom does punk better than any of these fake-ass punk bands that seem to be all over the place now. I will never have anything bad to say about this song...ever. That's how good it is.

Sit Down. Stand Up. - The piano is beautiful...and the ending is just bananas. Great song.

Sail To The Moon - This song is "Pyramid Song"...only much better...and I love "Pyramid Song". That's all I have to say about that.

Backdrifts - This is some next-level shit right here. It's electronic music done right...the shit is perfect.

Go To Sleep - Wow...they're full of surprises this time out, huh? This song rules.

Where I End And You Begin - This song is awesome...it's got that recent U2 sound to it...but with an obvious Radiohead twist.

We Suck Young Blood - HANDCLAPS?!? So, so cool. The piano is great...the end is amazing. Damn.

The Gloaming - Wow...this is like Kid A/Amnesiac-type Radiohead...circa the year 3000. Holy shit.

There There - GREAT first single. A lot of this song reminds me of Bjork's "Human Behavior"...had it been produced by DJ Shadow. I love this damn song.

I Will - Thom's harmonies are fantastic in this song...it's so beautiful.

A Punch-Up At A Wedding - This song is damn near perfect. The drums are perfect, the bassline is perfect, the piano is perfect...everything is just...perfect.

Myxamatosis - Even by Radiohead standards, this song is strange...but it's still really fuckin' good. It's pretty much different than anything they've ever done before.

Scatterbrain - Yet another really good song. This album is the shit.

A Wolf At The Door - Thom spits lyrics like Bob Dylan on this song...and the ending is simply marvelous. God damn.

Wow...

I've only listened to this album ONCE and I'm already this into it. I can't imagine how much I'm gonna love this shit after the fifth or sixth listen. After hearing this album, I honestly don't think Thom and the boys are EVER gonna disappoint. This album is absolutely amazing. I really can't think of enough adjectives to describe it...it's *that* good.

'Hail To The Thief' is a critic's dream. Did Thom's voice actually get *better*? His harmonizing with himself is perfect every damn time. Not just Thom...but EVERYBODY seems to have gotten better...they are sooo on point, man. This album is pretty much a showcase for everything Radiohead is capable of as far as diversity in music goes. The lyrics are great...there's a lot of political aspects...everything, man.

Listening to this makes me wish I still did drugs like acid...this would be the PERFECT fuckin' acid album.

I'm willing to say already that, as a whole, it's better than 'Kid A' OR 'Amnesiac'...maybe even 'The Bends'...not 'OK Computer' though...but I'm biased...I worship that album.

They came out swinging with this one, man. I'm kinda mad that I ruined the "official" release for myself, but I couldn't hold out...Radiohead really does run my life. I'm so obsessed that it's sickening.

After the release of this album, the following artists can officially "eat their heart out":

Aphex Twin
DJ Shadow
Doves
Coldplay
Nine Inch Nails
U2
Fiona Apple
Tori Amos
Any wannabe punk bands
Neil Young
The Beta Band
The Flaming Lips
Recent Bob Dylan
El-P
Bjork
Recent Elvis Costello
Oasis
Moby

Alright...I think I'm done ranting now.

This WILL be the album of the year...I honestly don't see anything being better than this coming out this year.

I'm sorry I wasn't strong...but it was worth it."

And he/she is right man. It is a fantastic album. With
every listen it just gets better and better. The angelical
"I Will" is just too much to take. It's a blend of the
early Bends/Computer style with the whole KidA/Amnesiac
thing. Balanced out perfectly.

I just can't wrap my head around what this must sound like
once it's mixed propperly. Cuz after all, it IS only a bunch
of pre-production demo's and half mixed songs. Oh god.

okay, It was all flowing good, but why did he put radiohhead in the same 'box' as these other artists..

and personally, a few opinion notes..

Coldplay is still growing, and they have done a pretty damn good job by their second album.

Nine Inch Nails- can u really compare radiohead to nine inch nails? thats impossible to me..

Just stick to comparing radiohead.. to radiohead.
