Billboard's Top 50 Adult Contemporary Artists . 1 Elton John [Edited 9/19/16 11:46am] You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Looks like a musical labotomy.

Why am I missing Kenny G?

Probably because Kenny is one of those acts who sold a lot of albums, but had little presence on the singles charts. Which might be the same reason acts like Percy Faith & Lawrence Welk is not on the list. Lawrence is more known for his TV show than getting radio airplay. I knew Lionel had to make the top 10
For a minute I thought Johnny Mathis didn't make the list I saw where he was 47. It's amazing he didn't rank higher. I guess he was more of a 50's -60's AC artist. [Edited 9/18/16 19:29pm] Don't laugh at my funk

Glad Elton is number one - he deserves it. . This list is not too bad really. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Honestly, this is actually a pretty good list. Lots of talent, including some names which don't get the credit they deserve because they're included.

I believe Anita Baker should have made the list. Drop Al Marino - I don't even remember who he is/was.

That's supposed to be Martino, I corrected it You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

If this had of been R&B A/C, Anita probably would have been in the Top 10. She's placed 7 songs in the Top 10 on the Pop A/C charts. A good showing but not a lot. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

You know, I try to be open-minded, but, God - what an unholy crew. Madonna Dean Martin
I like some of the work from these: Elton John Billy Joel (for the most part a weak lyricist, IMHO) Rod Stewart (but none of his "Adult Contemporary" stuff) Daryl Hall & John Oates Diana Ross Fleetwood Mac [Edited 9/20/16 14:03pm]

Most likely the Sun era is not what is included in this list. It's not really adult contemporary or what was then called easy listening.
