The difference between Prince's electronic sound and those found on modern glossy pop and boyband/video ho singers is, that Prince creates the beats and electronics, he play instruments. Prince writes the song, does all the instruments and programmes all the synthesisers and electronic machines. The average pop song does not, often the beats are looped or smaples that are cut and mixed for a song. The rhythm track usually sells a modern song, all the pretty boy or skank singer does is talk or sing over it.

.

Take Uptown vs Uptown festival - First one was written, composed and instrumentalised by Prince, he did everything (Okay the usual disputavos over how many keyboard notes the pre Revolution gave), but Uptown festival is borrowed beats and some marginal quality singing with almost no lyrical diversity, its like a prime British made product next to a cheap Chinese knockoff in quality comparison.

.

Modern electric music is machine pumped, meaning a machine pumps the beat, with Prince he was the machine doing the pump and made the pumped beats originally. Beats and melody pretty much stopped after the 1990s and a lot of cirrent pop borrows beats and loops from the disco through to the new jack swing era (1974 - 1992), of course cut up and mixed to death.

You're so hard on it boy, relax your mind and your ass will follow it-

Just defending my man Prince, no way he should ever appear on a list of anyone's worst music. Also we can't speak ill of the dead.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Y'know it's just the stupid.

.

• If it took zero brain cells to make the music, I can hear that.

.

• Out of key ANYTHING drives me insane (no Kareoke for me).

.

• If silence is more compelling then the noise you're making

.

• If I feel like you're making something without conviction, I've got to feel you; Country, Rap, Metal, Jazz, Christmas music, whatever.
