Please guys, I have explained Maori music, so for someone who has had NO exposure to Mexican or Spannish culture, could you tell me what the hell Tejano music is. Is that like guys with big moustaches playing thise giant guitars, or men singing rhythmic songs with lines like "Bomba sinka josa, hosay freecoalies etc".

The only Mexican songs I have heard of are the Narcocorridas, the ballads about drug gangstas, and other Latin music usually ending with some dance ending usually in "a" (Rumba, Zumba, Samba, Sumba, Tango, meringue) and images of women in fruit hats shaking maracas whiole a toucan plays a guitar are my images of latin music (Very 1945 I know).

Seriously my country is 100% British culture, full English speaking and the number of Latinos can be counted in the double figures.

Yes, I agree word-for-word with what you said!! Shit, when I was young, rap was like...... Young MC, "The Principal's Office" - which was simply so much.....fun, it was so..... innocent! Today, it's THIS garbage........just makes me feel sad.

I don´t like those people you mentioned either and I´ve never really liked house but then I looked beyond the commercial horizon and found out that there are quite many house producers and singers that I really like now.

Check out Black Coffee from South Africa, Bucie from South Africa or Miguel Migs and the songs he did with Andy Allo or Me´Shell Ndegocello. Miguel is from the Bay Area and is a pretty interesting producer.

I ´m still not really into house but there are some artists in the "deep house" genre that I really enjoy listening to now.

Those dudes you mentioned above are, in my opinion, unlistenable.
