I suppose when the Kid sang "Purple Rain" for his father, it was sort of touching.

But when Billie (Mariah's character) sings that ballad for her ex who'd just gotten shot an hour earlier ("Dice"), well, THAT was art.

My deepest sympathies to you, and any artistic sensibilities you still have that survived the assault that is that movie.

Glitter stunk worse than a 2 week old dead fish wrapped in a dirty diaper floating in the middle of raw sewage.

I'm a huge Mariah fan, but Glitter was just 2 much 4 me sad
I hated the movie, every scene with MC is like, do Ilook good in this shot? Are my nails polished?
The acting was the worst (on par with Plan 9 from outer space)
The songs were fine though (still don't get why the soundtrack flunked)

I made my guy take me to the theater to see Glitter and he's STILL bitching about it
But I enjoyed it. I think alot was edited out of the movie. It was a little choppy

I SOOO agree wit you nod Mariah is my girl man, I'm a huge fan of the sistah but I couldn't wait till the next hour. Its the fluffy female version of PR tho!!

But you know that my girl nailed that "Wise Girls" movie right?? wink It was sooo funny and cute watching MC pulling a gangsta lady attitude plus the acting was all that. ITs really unfair that she put the louzy one in the theatres and LET the GOOD one end up as an indie movie rolleyes

The unfortunate thing is that Mariah CAN sing. She has an amazing voice, but I can't stand to look at her or watch her sugary sweet videos. She is an embarrassment to women. She plays the ultimate bimbo so well. If anyone thinks Glitter is better that Purple Rain, they don't know the first thing about decent music. Mariah has so much money she will never have to worry about making anymore for the rest of her life, but she will get old, like we all do and I can see her crashing and burning and doing something very stupid to herself. Her head is on ass-backwards and she thinks all she has to do is show off her fake tits and giggle once in a while. She gets no respect from me, that's for sure.

The unfortunate thing is that Mariah can't sing anymore. I don't know what she did, but she totally fucked up her voice. All she does is whisper. Her tacky look would be slightly tolerable if she still had her voice. But she's got nothing now.
